Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain the titled resin, having a crosslinked structure and small birefringence and suitable to substrates for video disks, compact disks, etc., by cast polymerizing a monomer containing one or more of aromatic rings, cyclehexane ring and heterocyclic ring. CONSTITUTION:(A) 100pts.wt. one or more of (i) a monomer having aromatic ring, e.g. bisallyl terephthalate, (ii) a monomer having cycklohexane ring, e.g. cis-1,2-divinylcyclohexane, or (iii) a monomer having heterocyclic ring, e.g. triallyl cyanurate, having respectively two or more radically polymerizable double bonds is mixed with (B) 0.01-10pts.wt. polymerization initiator for radical polymerization, e.g. diisopropyl peroxydicarbonate and resultant mixture is then cast polymerized, preferably at 40-150 deg.C to give the aimed resin having =150 deg.C heat resistance softening properties.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain the titled fiber having an excellent optical transmission property in a near infra red range, and lessening a loss, and independent of a vibration absorption of a O-H bind due to a hygroscopicity by using a polymer composed of 20-80mol% a specific fluorine substd. deuterium styrene unit, and 80-20mol% a deuterium (meth)acrylate as a core component. CONSTITUTION:The core component comprises the copolymer composed of 20-80mol% fluorine subtd. deuterium styrene unit shown by formula I, and 80-20mol% deuterium (meth)acrylate shown by formula II as the core component. A number average molecular weight of the copolymer as the core component is preferable to be the range of a few ten thousands-one million, especially 10-50 ten thousands for the optical fiber use. By substituted a hydrogen atom of an aromatic ring contd. in the styrene polymer with the fluorine atom and the heavy hydrogen atom, a hygroscopicity of the obtd. polymer greatly decreases. A vibration absorption strength of the O-H bind due to the hygroscopicity reduces in not only the visible range but also the near infra red range. By using a specific polymer as the core component as mentioned above, the titled fiber has the excellent optical transmission property in from the visible to the near infra-red ranges, and may greatly lessen the increase of the loss under the condition of the high temperature and the high humidity.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To produce the titled tape for the production of cloudless plastic lens by casting, by applying a pressure-sensitive adhesive layer composed of a rubber and a tackifier consisting of a terpene resin and a specific petroleum resin to a surface of a substrate. CONSTITUTION:The objective tape can be produced by coating (A) a surface of a substrate (e.g. polyethylene terephthalate film) with a pressure-sensitive adhesive layer composed of (B) a rubber (e.g. natural rubber) and (C) a tackifier selected from a terpene resin, an aliphatic petroleum resin synthesized from the 5C fraction of petroleum and an alicyclic petroleum resin synthesized from the 9C fraction of petroleum. The amount of the component C is preferably 40-200pts.(wt.) per 100pts. of the component B. The adhesive tape or sheet is used for sealing the circumference of a pair of molds positioned keeping a prescribed gap in the casting of a plastic lens.

Obtd. core polymer is transferred to a spinning soln. tank 2 where volatile matters are removed out of a vent hole 10. Then, the spinning soln. tank 2 is upset and a piston 4 is pushed down to extrude the core polymer through a die 28. An opening 26 is provided to a die block 24 so as to permit simultaneous extrusion of a sheath polymer. The opening 26 is connected to a sheath polymer extruder 25.

A polyol of higher MW, is used far a non-high-solid type paint. (B) is beta-isocyanatoethyl 2,6-diisocyanatocaproate etc.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain a cement product improved in resistance to water permeability, alkali resistance, water resistance, weatherability, adhesiveness and efflorescence-proofness by coating the surface of cement-based body with a water permeability-proofing synthetic resin to form a coating film and specify the water permeability of the product. CONSTITUTION:Firstly, a water permeability-proofing synthetic resin coating is prepared by emulsion copolymerization between (A) 25-88wt.%, based on the total monomers, of a mixture of at least two kinds of acrylic and methacrylic 1-8C alkyl esters, (B) 10-50wt.% of at least one kind of hydrophobic monomer selected from aromatic ring-bearing vinyl monomers and (C) 0.5-10wt.% of comonomer containing carboxyl, N-methylol, N-methylol ether, hydroxyl or epoxy group(s) in the presence, as necessary, of nonionic or anionic emulsion stabilizer, catalyst, extender pigment, additives etc. Then, this coating is applied to the surface of a cement body to form a primer coating film consisting of a copolymer of the components A, B and C, thus the aimed cement product having .day) in water permeability is obtained.
