    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a filter material replaceable filter that a chemical filter material to be replaced is easily and integrally held and it can be conveniently exchanged only by interchanging the chemical filter material and the generation of the gas causing pollution is suppressed, and to provide a filter unit housing the filter freely attachably and detachably. SOLUTION: Relating to the filter material replaceable filter 3 constituted by integrally wrapping and holding the chemical filter material 1 with an air permeable sheet base material 2, the base material having >=1.0 kg/5 cm strength and >=20 cc/cm2/sec permeability rate is adopted. The sheet base material 2 is a nonwoven fabric or a meshlike material and its surface charge is >=1.0×10-10 C/cm2. The chemical filter material 1 held on the base material 2 is arranged at a flow passage parallel to the flow passage of air, etc., and has corrugated structure or honeycomb structure.

    Abstract: PURPOSE: To sufficiently remove a soiling without damaging smoothness, uniformity, etc., and without damaging a surface by executing a washing stage with a water under high pressure at the time of washing an optical material. CONSTITUTION: The washing stage using high pressure spraying of water from a spray nozzle is executed at the time of washing the optical material such as eyeglass lens and camera lens formed with a (meth)-acrylate resin. Moreover, at least either one of a surfactant based washing stage and a rinsing stage is executed. The washing is executed by spraying water under high pressure to the optical material at 0-90 deg.C, preferably 5-80 deg.C. In this way, the soiling is sufficiently removed without causing a dry spot on the surface of a resin made optical material.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain the titled resin, having a crosslinked structure and small birefringence and suitable to substrates for video disks, compact disks, etc., by cast polymerizing a monomer containing one or more of aromatic rings, cyclehexane ring and heterocyclic ring. CONSTITUTION:(A) 100pts.wt. one or more of (i) a monomer having aromatic ring, e.g. bisallyl terephthalate, (ii) a monomer having cycklohexane ring, e.g. cis-1,2-divinylcyclohexane, or (iii) a monomer having heterocyclic ring, e.g. triallyl cyanurate, having respectively two or more radically polymerizable double bonds is mixed with (B) 0.01-10pts.wt. polymerization initiator for radical polymerization, e.g. diisopropyl peroxydicarbonate and resultant mixture is then cast polymerized, preferably at 40-150 deg.C to give the aimed resin having =150 deg.C heat resistance softening properties.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate the maintenance, to miniaturize a preservation space and to rapidly and simply generate a fresh water by forming a filter unit and a separation membrane unit to directly connect to each other through a common head. SOLUTION: A feed water from a feed water line 1 is supplied into the filter unit 20 from a head part 2 directly connected to the filter unit 20 and the separation membrane unit 30. The back flow is prevented by preferably providing a non-return corn constituted of a polypropylene-made-ball and a spring in an inlet of the filter unit 20. The filter unit 20 has a cartridge type filter element 3 and absorbs and remove fine particles, a dissolved gas or the like in the feed water to supply to a module vessel 7 of the separation membrane unit 30. The feed water is membrane-separated by a reverse osmosis membrane module 8 and each generated water flows out to a permeated water outlet 10 and a concentrated water outlet 11. By the structure, the maintenance is facilitated, the preservation space is decreased and the fresh water is rapidly generated.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water producing apparatus which easily, quickly, and reliably produces drinking water and water for household use even in a site where water supply is not available and make the apparatus light weight, compact, and economical by installing an electric motor using a storage battery as an electric power source, a raw water pump employing the electric motor as a driving source, and a separation membrane module unit. SOLUTION: A cable 22 is connected with a storage battery 21 of a vehicle 40, a strainer 1 connected with a raw water hose 3 is placed in a lake or a marsh or a river, a prime motor of the vehicle 40 is started, a raw water pump 7 is driven by an electric motor 6, and water is sent to a prefilter 9 through the strainer 1. The water is pre-treated to remove SS components and sent to a reverse osmosis membrane module unit 11 to remove dissolved, components such as salts, trihalomethane, and the likes contained in the water passed through the unit. A part of the obtained water is discharged to outside through a concentrated water distributing pipe 12 to be used for household use. The remaining water is sent to an aspirator 17 after being passed through a filtered water distributing pipe 14, a soluble disinfectant in a disinfectant bottle 20 is added to water when the water flows by, and the water is disinfected and discharged as drinking water to outside.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain an optical disc base small in double refraction, water absorptivity, etc., by molding a disc base containing a thermoplastic resin, a monomer having a plurality of ethylenically unsaturated groups and a photopolymerization initiator and crosslinking this base by irradiation with a radiation. CONSTITUTION:A disc base based on a thermoplastic resin (e.g., acrylate polymer or a polycarbonate), a monomer having at least two ethylenically unsaturated groups in the molecule (e.g., ethylene glycol dimethacrylate) and a photopolymerization initiator (e.g., acetophenone) is produced. This base is irradiated with a radiation from a mercury vapor lamp, xenon lamp or the like to form crosslinkages in it. In this way, an optical disc base small in double refraction, good in transferability of groove pattern, excellent in dimensional stability because of low water absorptivity, and excellent in heat softening resistance can be produced in good efficiency.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain a lens having a high refractive index and superior shock resistance by using a polymer obtd. by copolymerizing a specified di(meth)acrylate compound with a mixture of other radical-polymerizable multifunctional monomer and with a vinyl monomer. CONSTITUTION:The polymer obtd. by copolymerizing the following components A, B is used. The component A is a di(meth)acrylate compound having a nucleus-substituted aromatic ring bond to a (meth)acrylolyoxy group through an alkylene glycol group. The substitent is halogen other than F. The component B is a mixture of >=20wt% radical-polymerizable multifunctional monomer other than the component A such as divinylbenzene with other vinyl monomer such as styrene. The component A includes 2,2-bis(4-methacryloxyethoxy-3,5-dibromophenyl) propane. A lens obtd. by casting the polymer has such a high refractive index as about 1.61 and is colorless, transparent and tough. The lens is widely used as a convex lens, a concave lens or the like, and especially it is effectively used as each concave lens having a thick trim for spectacles for a shortsighted person.
