    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To directly measure the amt. of feeding of moistening water, to control the amt. of feeding of the moistening water based on the amt. of measuring and to control ink repellent properties by measuring whiteness of non-image area of a plate face of a lithographic printing plate using a hydrophilic swelling layer with a phase separation structure consisting of a specified material group as an ink repellent layer. SOLUTION: A lithographic printing plate using a hydrophilic swelling layer with a phase separation structure constituted of a phase wherein a hydrophilic polymer is a main ingredient and a phase wherein a hydrophobic polymer is a main ingredient as an ink repellent layer is used. In this case, the hydrophilic swelling layer is colorless and transparent or semi-transparent under dry condition and is changed to white condition by moisture absorption. Therefore, by utilizing that the degree of the white condition is well correlated to the degree of ink repellency of the hydrophilic swelling layer, the whiteness by moisture absorption is detected by means of a whiteness measuring output sensor 1 and it is inputted into an inputting means 2 and the amt. of feeding of moistening water is obtd. by means of a CPU 3 to perform feeding of the moistening water by means of a water feeding apparatus 6 through an output means 4. It is thereby possible to control accurately ink repellent properties.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain the subject resin, containing a specific phosphorus-containing compound as a copolymerization component, capable of exhibiting liquid crystallinity at low temperatures and forming an anisotropic molten phase, good in flame retardance and excellent in moldability, fluidity and mechanical strength. CONSTITUTION:The objective resin is composed of structural units selected from formulas I to IV (X is formulas V, VI, etc.; Y is formulas VI, VII, etc.) at (10/0)-(1/9) molar ratio of the units expressed by formulas (I/II) and (10/0)-(3/7) molar ratio of the units expressed by formulas (III/IV).     Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stably prepare a printed article of a high grade by using a water- soluble printing ink when a printing is performed by a lithographic printing plate equipped with at least a hydrophilic swelling layer on a base. SOLUTION: When a printing is performed by a lithographic printing plate wherein a hydrophilic swelling layer is made an ink repelling layer, the printing is performed by using a water-soluble printing ink. Thus, a sufficient ink repelling property is manifested, and also, even when water existing on the plate surface is excessive, the ink repelling layer can be swollen with water, and a sufficient water holding property can be ensured, and a printed article of a high grade can be produced. For the water-soluble printing ink, an ink composition which contains 5 wt.% or higher of a water-soluble organic solvent, and 30 wt.% or lower of a water-insoluble organic solvent is suitable, and especially preferably, no water-insoluble organic solvent is contained in the water-soluble printing ink. Also, a non-picture line section comprising the hydrophilic swelling layer preferably has a water absorption amount of 1-50 g/m2, and a water swelling rate of 50-2000%.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simplify manufacturing and printing plate making steps and to improve image reproducibility and plate wear resistance by forming a laser sensitive thermosensitive layer provided on a base as a layer containing thermoplastic polymer fine particles containing a hydroxyl group, an amine compound and a solvent soluble binder polymer as main components. SOLUTION: A thermosensitive layer containing thermoplastic polymer fine particles having a hydroxyl group in a molecule and an amine compound dispersed in a binder polymer is provided on a base having a hydrophilic surface. It is good to use the particles which have the hydroxyl group and which are thermoplastic and have a glass transition temperature of about 120 deg.C or lower, and its lower limit is about 10 deg.C or higher. The amine compound has an operation as a crosslinker and easily reacts with the hydroxyl group of the polymer to three-dimensionally crosslink and insolubilize the polymer. Since it is necessary to dissolve to remove a non-laser illuminated part after an image is formed by the laser, it is necessary that the polymer is soluble in water or an organic solvent.
