Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a constitution of an evaporator which reduces the excess refrigerant retained in an accumulator part of the evaporator and improves the safety in leakage of the refrigerant, in a refrigerator using the combustible refrigerant. SOLUTION: This refrigerator 1 using the combustible refrigerant comprises an evaporator 18, an outlet pipe 18d mounted across an air trunk of the evaporator 18, and an accumulator 18e connected to the outlet pipe 18d and storing the liquid refrigerant. As a result, temperature of the outlet pipe 18d is kept higher than evaporation temperature with the proper amount of refrigerant, the residual refrigerant retained in the accumulator 18e is reduced, and further the accumulator 18e is miniaturized, which reduces the input of a defrosting heater, and improves the safety in leakage of the refrigerant.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent power loss or durability degradation which causes a problem when a refrigerant is recovered by operating (pumping down) a compressor while being prevented from flowing into an evaporator in a freezer-refrigerator and the like having a plurality of evaporators different in evaporating temperature for refrigerating cycles performed by alternately using them. SOLUTION: It is possible to alleviate the problem of power loss or durability degradation caused by pumping down by employing a control method of cooling a freezing chamber 3 with first priority in every possible condition, changing the refrigerating cycles after the temperature of evaporation at the time of cooling the freezing chamber 3 becomes lower than that at the time of cooling a refrigerating chamber 2 and performing pumping down only immediately before changing over from a freezing chamber refrigerating cycle to a refrigerating chamber refrigerating cycle.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a small-sized, high-efficiency closed type motor-driven compressor using a bared-type motor element, for compressing a coolant including at least ammonia. SOLUTION: In the closed type motor-driven compressor for compressing the coolant including at least ammonia, an insulation material is formed by using at least one kind among a group of polyether sulfonic resin, polysulfonic resin, and polyether imide resin. The insulation material, when it makes direct contact with the coolant, is not dissolved or peeled off. This provides a motor with good dielectric strength to allow the bare-type motor element to be used thus providing the small-sized, high-efficiency closed type motor-driven compressor.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compressor capable of enhancing reliability on durability in a compressor using a CO2 refrigerant. SOLUTION: This compressor compresses and discharges a refrigerant by a compressing mechanism section 2 held in a sealing vessel 1. A CO2 refrigerant is used as the refrigerant, and the sealing vessel 1 is filled with refrigeration oil 25 whose solubility of the CO2 refrigerant is small or which is incompatible with the CO2 refrigerant. This controls the amount of solution of the CO2 refrigerant into the refrigeration oil 25, so that it is possible to reduce risks such as a starting failure like oil foaming or a lubrication failure due to an outstanding decrease of the viscosity of the refrigeration oil.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent leak arising from electrical insulating performance of a refrigerating machine oil from occurring by charging an enclosed compressor with an HFC-based refrigerant and ester-based refrigerating machine oil with a specific volume resistance of a specific value or higher. SOLUTION: This refrigerating device comprises refrigerant whose major component is HFC-based refrigerant, an enclosed compressor that compresses the refrigerant, and a refrigerating cycle that includes the enclosed compressor. The enclosed compressor has an enclosed casing 11 that houses a mechanical portion 1 and a motor portion 10 that drives the mechanical portion 1. The motor portion 10 is provided with a winding covered with an insulation jacket and an insulating film. Because of the HFC-based refrigerant and an ester-based refrigerating machine oil 12 whose specific volume resistance is 1013 Ωcm or higher packed in the enclosed casing 11, leak and electric shock can be effectively prevented thanks to the high electrical insulation performance of the ester oil itself.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compressor provided with bearing structure preventing the wear of a thrust sliding face when the internal temperature of the compressor is high and reducing sliding loss of a thrust sliding face when the internal temperature of the compressor is low. SOLUTION: A thrust washer 30 of such structure that contact area decreases with the drop of internal temperature of a compressor and that contact area increases with the rise of internal temperature of the compressor is provided between a flange face 20 and a thrust face 21. With this constitution, the viscosity of refrigerator oil is lowered by the rise of internal temperature of the compressor, and in the case of a thrust sliding face being in a boundary lubricating area from mixing, the contact area increases, so that load per unit area decreases, and an oil film is easily formed to prevent wear. When the viscosity of refrigerator oil is heightened by the drop of internal temperature of the compressor, and in the case of the thrust sliding part being in a fluid lubricating area, the contact area decreases, so that load per unit area increases to reduce sliding loss.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the reliability of a freezer/refrigerator by preventing the occurrence of foaming in a compressor, namely, the discharge of a lubricant to the outside of the compressor by the foaming particularly when the power supply is made and, at the same time, to prevent the durability deterioration of the compressor due to lubricant deficiency in the compressor. SOLUTION: A freezer/refrigerator is provided with an intra-freezer temperature detecting means 2 which detects the temperature in the freezer of the freezer/refrigerator, a heating means 4 which is positioned to heat a lubricant 19 melted by means of a refrigerant in the bottom section of a compressor 1, and a control means 3 which controls the heating means 14 to secure a required amount of lubricant in the compressor 1 based on the temperature in the freezer detected by means of the detecting means 2. Consequently, the reliability of the freezer/refrigerator can be improved, because the discharge of the lubricant 19 to the outside from the compressor 1 by foaming can be reduced and the required amount of lubricant 19 can be secured in the compressor 1.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reliable refrigerant compressor by optimizing an assembly lubricant used at the time of the assembly of the refrigerant compressor so as to prevent the sliding parts in the refrigerant compressor from being initially worn at the start of the compressor and by suppressing the starting failure of the refrigerant compressor and the occurrence of substances clogging a cooling system. SOLUTION: A refrigerant compressor is structured so that 50 capacity % distillation temperature is 400 deg.C or higher and it uses a synthetic fluid base oil having an ether or carbonate structure in its molecules as an assembly lubricant. In this case, it is better to use the assembly lubricant containing at least one or more organic phosphoric acid compounds of 0.01 to 1.0 wt.% between acid phosphoric acid ester and phosphorous acid ester. Thus the initial wear inside a refrigerant compressor at the start of the compressor can be prevented, and the starting failure and the occurrence of substances clogging a cooling system can be suppressed.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To improve durability of a compressor by providing in a passage for refrigerant composed of halogenated hydrocarbon compounds a drier charged with a desiccant composed of synthetic zeolite and an acid removing device, thereby removing inorganic acid in a refrigeration system to prevent the synthetic zeolite from being crushed. CONSTITUTION:Refigerant compressed at a compressor 11 is delivered through a condenser 14 and a drier 15, and the pressure thereof is reduced in a capillary tube 18 and then is fed into an evaporator 19 to evaporate it, thereby generating cold air. The evaporated refrigerant is returned to the compressor 11 via an accumulator 20. In such a refigeration system, desiccants 16 comprising spherically formed synthetic zeolite are charged into the drier 15. An acid removing device 2 charged with adsorbents 3 prepared by forming alkaline activated alumina into spherical bodies, 5mm in diameter, is provided downstream of the accumulator 20, where an inorganic acid contained in the refrigerant is removed, whereby degradation and crushing of synthetic zeolite constituting the desiccants 16 can be avoided.
