Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To dissolve a problem that there is no method to confirm humidity of a refrigerating chamber by a user for a refrigerator since humidity is non- visible though the increase of humidity in a conventional refrigerating chamber is practicable. SOLUTION: A dry and wet display sheet 10 containing a pigment the color of which is changed according to a change of humidity is situated at the whole or a part of a refrigerating chamber shelf 4 of a refrigerating chamber 3 or at an inner box 2 of the refrigerating chamber. This constitution causes a user to simply recognize humidity in the refrigerating chamber by changing the color of the dry and wet display sheet 10 according to a change of humidity in the refrigerating chamber.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem of increasing a refrigerant leakage amount in case of refrigerant leakage due to an accident when using a combustible refrigerant to cause an excess refrigerant to be needed in a sealed refrigerant necessary for operating a refrigerating operation from the result of staying the refrigerant without flowing of a liquid phase refrigerant by different flowing speeds of vapor phase and the liquid phase refrigerants and vertical flow of the refrigerant according to a flowing state or flowing speed in two phase of vapor and liquid phase flows of the refrigerant in tubes in the case of moving the refrigerant during upward piping of a condenser. SOLUTION: The refrigerator comprises a refrigerating cycle having a body 20, a compressor 21 installed in the body 20, a condenser 22, a capillary tube 23, and an evaporator 24 sequentially annularly connected, and a combustible refrigerant 25 such as a butane, an isobutene, a propane or the like sealed in the cycle. In this case, refrigerant piping 26 for constituting the condenser 22 is disposed on a horizontal surface.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To prevent temperature nonuniformity, and to obviate the freezing of foods by forcibly operating the electric blower of a deodorizing device when a chilled setting switch is turned ON. CONSTITUTION:When a chilled setting switch 54 is turned ON, the chilled-setting switch 54 side input of an OR circuit 62 is brought to 'H', an output from the OR circuit 62 is also brought to 'H', a transistor 63 is turned ON, a relay coil 64 becomes conductive, a relay contact 60 is opened, and an electric blower 29 is operated. When the chilled setting switch 54 is not turned ON, inversely, the output from the OR circuit 62 is brought to 'L', the transistor 63 is turned OFF, and the continuity of the relay coil 64 is interrupted. Consequently, the relay contact 60 can also be opened, and the electric blower 29 is not worked. As a result, when the temperature of a chilled room 10 is brought to a chilled temperature zone by turning the chilled setting switch 54 ON, the electric blower 29 is operated regardless of the closing of a switch 44. Accordingly, temperature nonuniformity in the chilled room is solved, and the freezing of foods can be prevented.

CONSTITUTION:In this box 15, a double flange 20 is formed by a right side plate, a left side plate, a top plate bent, a front surface flange 20a, a rear surface flange 20b in continuous with the front surface flange 20a and bent in a spaced-apart for the rear side of the front surface flange 20a, a back flange 20c for forming a groove 25 between it and a rear surface flange 20b, and an extending flange 20d continuously with the rear flange 20c and extended toward the rear side. Iron reinforcing members 26 are fixed and fused at the rear surface of the back flange 20c at the front right and left corners of the cabinet 14 by one surface spot welding and fixed.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To prevent an extension of defrosting time due to an increased amount of frosting in a cooling unit in case of high cooling load and further prevent an increasing of temperature when defrosted by a method wherein in addition to performing a regular defrosting with a first timer, a defrosting is carried out from a continuous 'opened' time of a damper with a second timer. CONSTITUTION:A first timer 40 may generate an 'H' output at a specified time interval and continue to generate an 'L' signal during other time intervals. When the 'H' output is generated, a defrosting heater 48 is energized, a cooling unit 6 is defrosted and a compressor 26 and an air blower 7 are stopped. If a bimetal 39 reaches a predetermined temperature, an energization of the defrosting heater 47 is turned OFF and the compressor 26 and the air blower 7 are operated. The first timer 40 is zero cleared, and outputted again after a specified time elapses. The second timer 42 may generate an 'H' signal when a continuous 'open' time of a damper 13 of an electric damper 11 elapsed for a certain period of time. Subsequently, in the same manner as that of the first timer, upon completion of the defrosting operation, the compressor 26 and the air blower 7 are operated again and then the second timer 42 is zero cleared.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To perform high-reliable control of defrost and to prevent the increase of temperature in a refrigerator due to prolongation of a defrosting time when an amount of frost formed to a cooler is increased to a value exceeding a necessary value by providing a controller to vary a defrosting interval by decision of the magnitude of a cooling load. CONSTITUTION:A first timer 40 integrates the running time of a compressor 26. A defrost controller 44 has a second timer 42 integrating the continuous 'OPENING' time through utilization of a phenomenon in which a motor damper in a refrigerating chamber 9 is brought into an 'OPENING' state as a result of an amount of frost formed to a cooler being increased resulting from an increase in a cooling load and a cold air circulating amount being decreased resulting from an increase in cold air ventilation resistance and the heat exchanger effectiveness of a cooler being also lowered. when a cooling load increasing condition (for example, when a door is left opened and a door is frequently opened and closed) is present at an interval at which defrosting is effective by a first timer 40, defrosting is performed by the second timer 42 by means of the first timer and the defrost control device. This constitution provides control of defrost having reliability higher than that of conventional devices.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To facilitate the mounting of a reinforcing member onto an outer casing and secure stabilized mounting strength by a method wherein a hoop, coated with a coating on the surface thereof previously, is bent to form the left-and-right side plates as well as the ceiling plate of the outer casing while a reinforcing member made of a steel sheet is attached and secured to the rear surface of the coated hoop through fusion welding by one surface spot welding. CONSTITUTION:A cabinet 10, constituting the outer casing 11 of a refrigerator, is formed of a left side plate 12, a right side plate 13, a ceiling plate 14 and a double flanges 15 formed at the front opening rim, which are formed by bending one sheet of coated hoop coated previously. A reinforcing member 21, made of a steel sheet, is provided with a longitudinal side 21a and a lateral side 21b, which are attached and secured to the rear surface of rear flanges 15c at the left and right corners of the front surface of the cabinet 10 through fusion welding by one side spot welding. In this case, an electric current and a pressure are concentrated on projections 21e provided on the reinforcing member 21 whereby the projections 21e are molten by heat perfectly and are secured to the main body 10b of the steel plate. A stabilized mounting strength may be obtained with a simple device in such a manner.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To ensure vaporizing capacity for defrosting water without blocking dissipation of heat from a compressor and enlarging the volume of a machine room, by a method wherein an approximately boardlike porous member in which the thickness of a plate is gradually increased from an upper end part toward a lower end part is mounted on a vaporizing pan in a manner to be positioned facing the compressor. CONSTITUTION:A vaporizing pan 12 is situated below the outlet end of a drain pipe 9 for defrosting water, and a porous member 13, in which the thickness of a plate is gradually increased from an upper end part toward a lower end part, is situated in the vaporizing pan in a manner to be positioned facing a compressor 11. Thereby, even when impurity, e.g. refuse, dust, is contained in defrosting water and is sucked in the porous member 13 togetherwith the defrosting water, since the member has an enoughly large sectional area, a suction amount is prevented from reduction due to choking. Further, since the thickness of the plate is low in the vicinity of an upper end part where vaporization is promoted through a radiant heat from the compressor 11 and a convection heat, an enough vaporizing amount can be also provided from a surface, not positioned facing the compressor 11 of the porous member 13, through thermal conduction. Especially, since there is no need for a large porous member, convection around the compressor is prevented from being blocked, and there is no need to increase the size of a machine room.
