    Abstract: PURPOSE:To prevent a rise in the compartment temperature after defrosting operation of a short time period by a method wherein the amount of deposit frost, e.g., the defrosting time period is estimated according to the elapsed time period by the time defrosting is to be started, and when the elapsed time period is long, defrosting is started without forced pre-cooling. CONSTITUTION:In the case the outside temperature is low or the outside temperature is low and the door opening frequency is low, as the output from a terminal 02 of a defrosting timer 25 is L, the output of an AND circuit 27 is L even when the output of a terminal 03 of a second defrosting timer 26 is H. Therefore, the output of an OR circuit 16 depends on the output of a freezing compartment temperature controller 14. That is, the operation of a compressor 9 is controlled according to the detected temperature of a temperature detector 8 for a time period T1 after the timer 25 integrates for eight hours, and after that, H signal is output form a terminal 04 of the timer 26 to start defrosting operation. After that, like in ordinary operation, a bimetal 21 is turned off after defrosting operation is completed, L signal is input to a terminal R1 of the timer 25 and a terminal R2 of the timer 26, and ordinary operation associated with the detector 8 is restored.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To make it possible to easily supply air including constituents of an offensive small into a deodorizing apparatus and to sufficiently deodrize the air by arranging an ozonizer, an ozone decomposing device and a fan in such an order downstreamly from an upstream portion of a vent passageway in the vent passageway and providing a trap in the vent passageway so as to cause the ozonizer to be positioned in the upper portion of the vent passageway of the ozone decomposing device. CONSTITUTION:An offensive smell of foods disposed on a shelf 14 of a foods storage shed 12 is generally heavier than air, thereby falling downwardly, and the offensive smell enters the deodorizing apparatus 17 through an inlet port 16-1 and is guided to a trap by a first vent passageway 17-1. Then a high voltage is applied to an ozonizer 19 by a high voltage source 18 to generate the ozone which causes the offensive smell to be oxidized and decomposed. Air from which the offensive smell is eliminated by the ozonizer 19 is discharged from the vent passageway through an outlet port 16-2 in the storage room of the foods storage shed 12 by a fan 21 by way of an ozone decomposing device 20 which decomposes surplus ozone into oxygen, and a second vent passageway in such an order.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To prevent overcooling of a first refrigerating chamber and to ensure a predetermined amount of cold air in a second refrigerating chamber by a method wherein cold air from a discharging duct and cold air after passing through a low-temperature chamber are introduced into the second refrigerating chamber while the returning cold air from the second refrigerating chamber, set so as to keep higher temperature than the air in the first refrigerating chamber, is returned to a cooler through the first refrigerating chamber. CONSTITUTION:Cold air, discharged into a first refrigerating chamber 3 through a damper thermostat 14a, returns into a cooling chamber 8 through a cold air returning duct 2a in a partitioning wall 2 while cold air, discharged into a low-temperature chamber 5 through another damper thermostat 14b, is distributed and discharged to the upper part of a vessel 17, received in a second refrigerating chamber 7, through a discharging passage 16 provided at the rear part of the partitioning wall 6. Thereafter, the cold air is released into the first refrigerating chamber 3 from a returning port 19a through the cold air returning passage 18 in the partitioning wall 6 and a cold air returning duct 19 defined and formed at the rear part of the low-temperature chamber 5 and the refrigerating chamber 3 together with cold air, discharged into a space between the outside of the vessel 17 and the inner wall of the refrigerating chamber 7 from the discharging port 13b of a discharging duct 13 through the damper thermostat 14a, then, is returned into the cooling chamber 8 through the cold air returning duct 2a in the partitioning wall 2.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To prevent dew droplets from being formed on a suction pipe in the case where the temperature of the external air is low by providing a blower for cooling a rotary compressor, operating the blower in synchronism with the rotary compressor in the case where the temperature of the external air is high and allowing the blower to operate only during a rapid cooling operation in the case where the temperature of the external air is low. CONSTITUTION:When a switch 11 for rapid cooling is turned ON and an 'H' signal is inputted into the input part of a timer 20, the timer 20 produces the 'H' signal continuously for a predetermined period of time t0, and an OR circuit 20 produces the 'H' signal irrespective of an output from an AND circuit 27. When transistor 29 is turned ON. a relay coil 30 conducts and a relay contact point 23 closes, whereby a blower 21 is operated. Consequently, air is blown to lower the temperature of a rotary compressor 6 and, as a result, since pressure on the high-pressure side of a refrigerating cycle is reduced and pressure on the low-pressure side thereof is also reduced, the circulation amount of refrigerant is decreased and the temperature of a suction pipe 9 is not greatly lowered. Accordingly, a floor surface or the like on which a refrigerator main body 1 is set can be prevented from being wetted by the dropping of dew droplets formed on the surface of the suction pipe 9.

CONSTITUTION:A vent hole 11 for forming a flow of natural convection is provided in front of an evaporation tray 2. Thus, evaporating performance of defrosting water is improved, and dew-condensation of a bottom of a refrigerator can be prevented.
