Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To produce such a fiber as to provide a new bulk yarn having high bulkiness, stretchability, drape, resilience and soft touch feeling, etc., in subjecting same polymer to false twisting by extremely simple method. SOLUTION: In producing a polyester fiber in which filaments different in single yarn fineness are combined, resistance by wet wall having at least >=10 mm contact yarn length is applied to a filament group (A) having thick single yarn fineness and taken off at a spinning rate of >=2,500 m/min to produce the objective polyester fiber.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain the subject readily processable fiber having a lower glass transition temperature than that of unoriented and amorphous fiber by imparting a new amorphous structure prepared by a method for winding melt spun yarn at a high speed and then carrying out the neck drawing, etc., under a high stress while quenching the yarn to polyethylene terephthalate fiber. CONSTITUTION:This polyethylene terephthalate fiber having a new structure and =5000m/min, carrying out the neck drawing under a high stress, quenching the neck drawn part and making a necking point exist in a quenching zone, etc. The resultant fiber has an amorphous structure of >=50X10 , preferably 100X10 to 140X10 birefringence and , preferably density and is capable of manifesting the crystallizing reaction near the glass transition temperature and performing heat setting and drawing at a low temperature under a low stress.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a nonwoven fabric compound material of high moisture absorption, using a nonwoven fabric including inorganic fine particles, as a moisture-imparting material, having high moisture absorbing properties and having large moisture adjusting performance in the change of the degree of moisture, the nonwoven fabric having a capacity of holding a large amount of the fine particles among fibers. SOLUTION: The inorganic fine particles have a difference of moisture contents of 20-100% when determined at 20 deg.C and a relative moisture of 90%, and at 20 deg.C and a relative moisture of 65%. The inorganic fine particles are added to a nonwoven fabric at a ratio of 30-500 wt.% based on the weight of fiber of the nonwoven fabric. Further, inorganic fine particles having fine pore volume of 0.3-3.0 ml/g are added to a nonwoven fabric at a ratio of 30-500 wt.% based on the weight of fiber of the nonwoven fabric.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a low-cost method for producing a partially hollow polyester yarn for forming a fabric capable of solving defects of the prior art and excellent in touch feeling, fabric surface aesthetic properties and lightweight properties. SOLUTION: This method for producing a partially hollow polyester yarn is characterized in that a core-sheath conjugate yarn comprising (A) a polymer which is substantially a polyester and arranged in a sheath part and (B) a polymer having a greater temperature dependence of elongational viscosity than that of the polymer (A) and arranged in an amount of 2-15 wt.% based on the total weight of the core-sheath conjugate yarn in a core part is spun at

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for easily producing in high productivity the subject combined filament yarn intended for giving fabrics of excellent touch without the need of using any self-elongative filament yarn. SOLUTION: The subject combined filament yarn comprises high-elongation yarn and low-elongation yarn; wherein the high-elongation yarn consists of a sheath/core conjugate yarn composed of a polyester as the sheath and, as the core, a polymer higher in the temperature dependency of tensile viscosity than the above polyester, while the low-elongation yarn consists singly of a polyester yarn. This method for producing the above combined filament yarn comprises the following process: at least two kinds of polymers corresponding to the high-elongation yarn and the low-elongation yarn are issued (melt-spun) from an identical spinneret into an indrawn heteroelongative combined filament yarn finished with >=0.1 wt.% of a non-polyether-based lubricant, which is subsequently drawn at a draw ratio 0.40-0.50 time the breaking draw ratio of the filament yarn with the highest elongation at 90-110 deg.C followed by heat-setting the thus drawn filament yarn at 110-130 deg.C.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a woven or knitted fabric that gives non-conventional soft feeling and dry touch with no problem of quality fineness of the fabric, regardless of the use of a differently shrinking mixed yarn. SOLUTION: The mixed yarn of an isophthalic acid-copolymerized polyester multifilament yarn (A) and a core/sheath type conjugated multifilament (B) in which polystyrene is arranged in the core and polyester is arranged in the sheath, is at least partially used to produce the objective woven or knitted fabric that satisfies the following requirements (a)-(c): (a) the average elongation at break is 35-80% in the yarn A and 1-2.5-fold % of the average elongation of the yarn A in the multifilament B in the mixed yarn taken out of the woven or knitted fabric; (b) the difference in the length between the filament A and the filament B is 10-40% after the combination between filaments A and B is loosened or separated; (c) the weight ratio of the polystyrene to the polyester in the multifilament B is 1/99-15/85.
