    Abstract: PURPOSE:To prepare a polyester containing uniform and fine particles from coarse aggregated particles, by esterifying terephthalic acid with ethylene glycol (or by ester interchange of a terephthalate with ethylene glycol), and by adding the reaction product thus obtained to a slurry of inert inorganic particles in ethylene glycol after a specific treatment, followed by polycondensation.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a composition being excellent in heat stability as a polymer and electrostatic application characteristic, giving a molding excellent in abrasion resistance and running performance and being excellent in productivity in film formation by adding a specified amount of aluminum silicate particles having a mean article diameter and an aluminum fraction in specified ranges to a polyester to form a composition which shows a specified resistance in a specified range when molten. SOLUTION: This composition contains 0.005-10 wt.% aluminum silicate particles having a means particle diameter of 0.001-3 μm and an aluminum fraction of 5-30 wt.% and shows a specific resistance of 1×10 to 5×10 Ω.cm when molten. It is desirable to use calcium carbonate or aluminum silicate particles in combination with the aluminum silicate particles. It is desirable that the calcium carbonate particles have a mean particle diameter larger than that of the aluminum silicate particles and are contained in an amount of 0.005-10 wt.% based on the composition. It is desirable that the aluminum oxide particles have a mean particle diameter of 0.001-0.5 μm and are contained in an amount of 0.01-3 wt.% based on the composition.

    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polyester composition which has excellent moldability and can give a film excellent in slipperiness, abrasion resistance and scratch resistance by using internal deposition type particles having a specified particle diameter and a specified particle diameter distribution. SOLUTION: This polyester composition contains internal deposition type particles prepared by performing the reaction for producing a polyester in the presence of 0.05-3.0mol%, based on the total dicarboxylic acid component, total of an alkali metal compound and an hlkaline earth metal compound and 0.05-1.5mol%, based on the total dicarboxylic acid component, phosphorus compound to deposit particles during the reaction. Because the internal deposition type particles have a mean particle diameter of 0.5-10.0μm and an at least bimodal particle diameter distribution, this composition has excellent moldability such as fiber-forming properties and film-forming properties and can give a molding excellent in slipperiness and surface properties.
