    Abstract: Disclosed is an air conditioner for a vehicle which can obtain a stable field of vision by determining the humidity outside a vehicle when a fog removal function for removing fog on a window is performed, then actively controlling the dispersion of an air discharging direction and the operation of the air conditioner at a timing when the mode is shifted into an outdoor mode. The method for controlling the air conditioner for a vehicle includes a step of detecting the humidity on a window and determining whether the detected humidity exceeds a preset reference value or not; a step of shifting the mode into the fog removing mode when the humidity on the window exceeds the reference value and detecting the outdoor humidity; and a step of shifting the mode into the outdoor mode and controlling the air discharging direction and the operation of the air conditioner at the same time when the outdoor humidity is similar to the condition of a rainy day.
