    Abstract: Procedimiento para la oxidación parcial de la acroleína para dar ácido acrílico, en fase gaseosa, catalizada de manera heterogénea, en el que se conduce una mezcla inicial gaseosa de reacción, que contiene acroleína, oxígeno molecular y, al menos, un gas inerte, que contiene el oxígeno molecular y la acroleína en una proporción molecular de O2 : C3H4O = 0, 5, en una etapa de reacción, a través de una carga a granel de catalizador en lecho fijo, cuya masa activa es al menos un óxido multimetálico, que contiene uno de los elementos Mo y V, con la condición de que - la carga a granel del catalizador en lecho fijo esté dispuesta en dos zonas de temperatura A, B, sucesivas en el espacio, - tanto la temperatura de la zona de temperatura A como también la temperatura de la zona de temperatura B sea una temperatura en el intervalo desde 230 hasta 320ºC, - la carga a granel del catalizador en lecho fijo esté constituida por, al menos, dos zonas de carga a granel del catalizador en lecho fijo, sucesivas en el espacio, siendo esencialmente constante la actividad específica, con respeto al volumen, dentro de una zona de la carga a granel del catalizador en lecho fijo y aumentando bruscamente en el sentido de flujo de la mezcla gaseosa de la reacción en la transición desde una zona de la carga a granel del catalizador en lecho fijo hasta otra zona de la carga a granel del catalizador en lecho fijo, - la zona de temperatura A se extienda hasta una conversión de la acroleína del 45 hasta el 85 % en moles.
