Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain an admixture for concrete having excellent fluidity of a hydraulic compsn. and holding property of fluidity and showing little retardation of hardening by using a copolymer of polyglycerine ester monomers having unsatd. bonds and specified monomers as the component. CONSTITUTION:This admixture for concrete contains the copolymer obtd. by polymerizing polyglycerine ester monomers (A) having unsatd. bonds and one or more kinds of monomers (B) selected from compds. expressed by formula I and/or formula II (wherein, R1, R4 are H or methyl groups, R2, R3 are H, methyl groups of expressed by formula III, m1 is 0 to 2, Y is SO3M3 or expressed by formula IV, M1-M4 are H, alkali metals, alkaline earth metals, ammonium groups, amino groups, or substd. amino groups). The ratio (wt.%) of the monomers (A) to the monomers (B) is preferably 1/99 to 99/1, and the ratio in the ranges from 5/95 to 30/70 is especially preferably for dispersibility.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To secure the high flowability, high chargeability, aggregate separation resistance and high strength of the concrete composition by adding a high performance water-reducing agent and pulp fibers and controlling the slump flow value to a >= a specific value. CONSTITUTION:The high performance water-reducing agent includes a naphthalene sulfonate metal salt-formaldehyde condensation product (Mighty 150), a melamine sulfonate metal salt-formaldehyde condensation product (Mightly 150 V-2), a phenolsulfonic acid-formaldehyde condensation product, a phenol.sulfanilic acid-formaldehyde cocondensation product, an unsaturated monocarboxylic acid, and its derivative. The water-reducing agent is added in an amount of 0.3-3.0wt.% as an effective component to a cement. The pulp fibers include virgin pulp obtained from needle-leaf trees, broad-leaf trees, etc., and fibers obtained from waste paper, and are added in an amount of 0.1-5.0wt.% based on kneading water. Other cement additives (e.g. air-carrying agent) may further be added. The slump floe value (defined by JIS-A 1101) of the composition is >=40cm.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To provide the title admixture capable of improving the water reduc ing effect, slump loss-preventive effect and strength-developing effect for con crete, comprising a specific ingredient and a condensation polymer produced by condensation of phenol, etc., with formaldehyde in the presence of an amino- based polymerization inhibitor. CONSTITUTION:Firstly, (A) a condensation polymer 1000-50000 in weight-average molecular weight is prepared by condensation at a pH of 3-12 of at least one compound selected from phenol (derivatives), melamine (derivatives) and urea with formaldehyde in the presence of an amino-based polymerization inhibitor such as N-methyl sulfonated urea. Then, (B) a water-soluble polymer 1000-50000 in molecular weight made up of constituent unit of the formula [A1 and B are each-COOZ (Z is H, etc.)] is prepared by amidation of a polymer formed by polymerizing at least one compound selected from acrylic acid, etc., through radical polymerization process. The objective concrete admixture is composed of 30-95wt.% of the component A and 70-5wt.% of the component B.

CONSTITUTION:An aqueous dispersion stability for a fine particulate inorg. powder with a mean particle diameter of 0.01-1.0mum is obtained by using a water-soluble polymer having one or more kind of a functional group selected from a sulfone group, a carboxyl group and a hydroxyl group in its molecule and characterized by that a mean MW is 2,000-50,000 and the content of a component with a mol.wt. of 1,000 or less is below 5wt.%. This aqueous dispersion stabilizer shows good dispersibility of a fine particulate inorg. powder and generates no sediment or hard cake during long-time preservation and also has good re-dispersibility.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To form an admixture for cement capable of preventing lowering of fluidity and air amount of concrete with the lapse of time and having excellent freezing and melting properties by blending fine grains of a copolymer (salt) of olefin and ethylenic unsaturated dicarboxylic acid anhydride and a water reducing agent and defoaming agent for concrete as essential components. CONSTITUTION:The aimed admixture for cement obtained by blending (A) fine grains of a copolymer of 2-8C olefin and ethylenic unsaturated dicarboxylic acid anhydride or fine grains of a polyvalent metal salt thereof with (B) a water reducing agent and (C) defoaming agent for concrete as essential components. As necessary,(D) the foaming agent may be added to the above- mentioned composition. The component B is preferably usedat a wt. ratio of the component B to the component A of 1:99-99:1. The component C is mainly composed of dimethylpolysiloxane and preferably used at a wt. ratio of 0.001-5:100 based on total amount of the component A and component B.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To obtain a hardened cement having excellent durability by curing a composition having a unit water content and a cement content falling within respective specific ranges using a high-performance water-reducing agent or a high-performance AE water-reducing agent and specifying the pore volume in the hardened product. CONSTITUTION:The objective hardened cement has a cement content of 320-800kg/m and a unit water content in the cement composition adjusted to 80-l60kg/m with a high-performance water-reducing agent or a high-performance AE water-reducing agent and gives a hardened and cured material having a pore volume of 5-40mm /g. The cement content participates in the improvement of the external durability such as surface appearance of the hardened cement in addition to structural durability such as neutralization property and water-permeability. When the amount is smaller than the lower limit, the surface strength of the hardened material becomes poor to cause the surface delamination by freezing and melting action and when it is higher than the upper limit, cracks are liable to generate by the heat caused by the hydration reaction of cement with water. To attain the pore volume falling within the above range, it is necessary to highly reduce the water content to keep the unit water content within the above range.

Abstract: PURPOSE:To control the change of the amount of air in concrete with the elapse of time by using a carboxylic acid type surfactant, which has a carboxyl group with an acid value of 100-600 and shows a specific dissolving speed in an aqueous solution having a specific composition, as a gradual release foaming agent. CONSTITUTION:A gradual release foaming agent is prepared from a carboxylic acid type surfactant having a carboxyl group with an acid value of 100-600 and having a dissolving speed of 0.1-10%/min in an aqueous solution wherein Na-ion concn. is 100m mol/l, Ca-ion concn. is 20m mol/l, liquid temp. is 20 deg.C and pH ia 11.5. As the aforementioned carboxylic acid surfactant, the metal salt with a divalent or more metal or the ester with 1-20C alcohol is pref. The pref. mean particle size of the gradual release foaming agent is 0.05-50mum. The obtained gradual release foaming agent can freely control the change of the amount of air in concrete with the elapse of time.

CONSTITUTION:The objective admixture comprising (A) (A1) a water-insoluble polymer 500-50000 in molecular weight, 0.1-2mu in mean particle size, having in the molecule carboxyl group [e.g., a copolymer consisting mainly of 2-8C olefin (e.g., isobutylene) and ethylenic unsaturated dicarboxylic anhydride (e.g., maleic anhydride)] and/or (A2) a water-insoluble metal complex 0.1-20mu in mean particle size, formed from a polymer 500-50000 in molecular weight having in the molecule carboxyl group [e.g., (meth)acrylic acid homopolymer] and a divalent metal (e.g., Zn) and (B) a OH group-contg. water-soluble polymer (e.g., water-soluble starch). The weight ratio A/B is such as to be as follows: 0.1-20 pts.wt. of the component B per pt.wt. of the component A1 and/or component A2.
