CONSTITUTION: An apparatus for controlling an electric water pump of a hybrid vehicle comprises a thermostat(110), a radiator(120), a cooling fan(121), an electric water pump(140), and a controller(150). The thermostat determines the circulation direction of cooling water discharged from an engine depending on the temperature of the cooling water. The radiator emits heat absorbed in the cooling water. The cooling fan is installed in one side of the radiator and forcefully sends wind. The electric water pump is installed between the engine and the thermostat and circulates the cooling water. The controller determines the flow rate of the cooling water depending on the operation load of the cooling fan and controls the operation and operation speed of the electric water pump.
