PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide methods, with which the location of unmodified wireless assets in a wireless communication network can be identified, by using the time differences in the arrivals of a communication sequence, at different network receivers. SOLUTION: Time-stamping devices include correlator circuits, in parallel with signal decoders to time-stamp communication sequences. Cellular wireless networks can be frequency-division-multiplexed, to increase spatial time-stamping density. Tags may be attached to passive assets, to provide location identification information to network devices. The locations of asset broadcasting standard 802.11 radio frequency structures can be identified. Noise, inherent to correlation of a communication sequence can be reduced by using a selected correlation function. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT

SOLUTION: The wireless local area network may include an access point and a plurality of remote terminals that are associated with the access point. The access point may be operably coupled to a priority network and may manage traffic to maintain a fair distribution of packets and to give priority to voice communications over other communications. The bar code scanning device is attached with a trigger and scanning of a bar code starts by operating the trigger. COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide service to a shopper according to reading of a bar code by sales and/or shopping using a wireless bar code reading terminal for reading a bar code related to a product in a store. SOLUTION: All of a plurality of stores are connected to a data base of a product manager of a product owner or a product manufacturer. The product manager generates a coupon when the products or related products of the product manager are scanned by one terminal of the store. In the case where one can of beverages made by some maker is scanned and it is found according to the data of the data base that the customer is a regular customer, for example, a coupon for a pack of six cans of the products is issued to the customer. When the customer is found to be a purchaser for the beverages made by some other maker, a different coupon can be given for one case of this time purchase. That is, the coupons given to the customer are dynamically varied with the former shopping behavior.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and equipment improved in radio communication. SOLUTION: In the equipment, a mobile unit is arranged. A first voice command is received, which is analyzed by the digital signal processor of the mobile unit having a limited vocabulary voice recognizing program. A second voice command is received, which is converted into a voice correspondence data signal which is transmitted to a remote computer by a WLAN for analysis through the use of a large scale vocabulary voice recognizing program. The mobile unit controls the voice of the remote computer and provides voice operation type voice communication.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transceiver which has a transmitter section and a receiver section. SOLUTION: In this transceiver, the transmitter section includes a modulator, which loads data information on a carrier signal and a receiver section converts the carrier to an intermediate frequency signal by a heterodyne system, with the modulator and the converter being built in on a single semiconductor chip. The receiver section receives signals in plural number of channels which have a stated band-width, a sampler samples with a sampling frequency of two times lower than the stated band width, and this frequency is selected, such that the frequency of selected channel is converted into the prescribed intermediate frequency. The other channel frequencies are converted into frequencies which are higher than the intermediate frequency, the converted signal is converted into a digital signal, a decoder includes a couple of Hilbert.transformasion and pair-filter sections, the first AGC circuit controls the gain of the AGC circuit, and the second circuit controls the amplitude of the digital signal.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To drive the gate of a PMOS transistor TR having a slower response earlier than the gate of an NMOS TR and to operate a ring oscillator with a higher oscillation frequency by using the differential amplifiers of a P and an N type inputs to plural cascaded inverters. SOLUTION: A PMOS TR 304' is not connected as an inverter and shares an NMOS TR that is contained in an inverter 3005 . An interpolation circuit 306' includes a pair of FET TR 305' and 307' whose drains age connected to the sources of a PMOS TR of the inverter 3005 and the TR 304' respectively. The delay is changed in two rings by the slow TR 304' and a fast NMOS TR included in the inverter 3005 . The circuit 306' mixes the inputs according to the control voltage which are applied to both TR 305' and 307' and changes the oscillation frequency of the VCO(voltage controlled oscillator) 38' and 76'.

PURPOSE: To provide the light-weight and strong optical scanner of a compact structure with excellent assembly/operation efficiency by combining an optical element, a permanent magnet and a flexible element. CONSTITUTION: When an AC current is applied to an electromagnetic coil 82, force for vibrating a mirror/magnet assembly in a horizontal direction is generated by mutual action with the permanent magnet 94 and the flexible element 90 is bent in a twisting direction. Thus, a laser beam made to hit a mirror is deflected in the horizontal direction. A vertical moment is generated by the force generated in a leaf spring 88 by magnetically induced force and a ring 86 is moved in a vertical direction. Since a ring assembly is flexibly attached so as to be adapted to vertical movement, this scanner 80 vibrates the mirror 92 in two directions and performs raster scanning by the laser beam deflected by the mirror 92. Thus, the light-weight and string optical scanner of the compact structure with the excellent assembly/operation efficiency is obtained.
