본 발명은 화상 형성 방법 및 장치에 관한 것으로, 그 방법은 네트워크로 연결된 장치들에 사용자 인증을 요청하고, 네트워크로 연결된 장치들 중 어느 하나의 장치로부터 사용자 인증 요청에 대응한 계정정보를 수신하고, 수신된 계정정보에 기초하여 소정의 화상형성작업을 수행함으로써 계정 서버 등 사용자 계정정보를 관리하기 위한 장치 및 이를 관리하는 데 필요한 비용을 절감하고, 계정 서버 등에 문제가 발생하더라도 전체 시스템의 가동이 중단되는 것을 막을 수 있게 한다.

An image forming device and a control method thereof are provided to enable a user to edit/manage image data without using a terminal by receiving editing commands directly from the user and prevent unauthorized users from editing the image data by setting a password to each image data. An input unit(110) receives editing commands for image data stored in a plurality of servers(200a-200n) from a user. A controller(120) performs control for editing the image data stored in the server by responding to the received editing commands. A display unit(130) displays server ID information for identifying the servers or registration information of the image data stored in the server. The input unit receives a server selection command for selecting the server or an image selection command for selecting the image data from the user, and receives authentication information for allowing the user to edit the image data. The controller permits editing the image data stored in the server when the authentication information is matched with reference authentication information.

A method and an apparatus for increasing the standby time of a mobile terminal through efficient processing for an assigned slot in a mobile communication system are provided to achieve access to a sleep state even at the first roll boundary by processing the frame data of an assigned slot in units of a half frame and minimizing the processing delay of a processor. An apparatus for increasing the standby time of a mobile terminal through efficient processing for an assigned slot in a mobile communication system comprises a sleep driving part(640), a data output controller(650), and a sleep state controller(680). The sleep driving part executes deinterleaving and decoding for a received signal and drives a sleep state. The data output controller judges whether the present frame is the first frame of an assigned slot, and outputs only a half frame if the present frame is the first frame. From then, the data output controller outputs a full frame and inserts it in the decoding process of the sleep driving part. The sleep state controller receives the half frame, confirms the fields of a universal page message, and judges access status to the sleep state.

An apparatus and a method for processing a video signal are provided to reduce cost by decreasing the number of frame memories and reduce a signal processing time by accessing only one frame memory. One frame memory(210) stores an interlaced video signal. A Y/C separating/deinterlacing circuit(220) accesses the frame memory, performs a deinterlacing operation and an operation for separating a luminance(Y) signal and a chrominance(C) signal from the interlaced video signal, and outputs a sequential video signal. The separated luminance and chrominance signals are calculated by using the smallest value among a difference value of two pixels in a horizontal direction, a difference value of two pixels in a vertical direction and a difference value of two pixels in a time direction.

A power-saving method and an apparatus for forming an image are provided to store printing data received from several user terminals connected through a network and to form an image when a predetermined condition is satisfied. A power-saving method for forming an image is carried out by the steps of receiving printing data from a user terminal(S300), of storing the received printing data(S340) when an image forming apparatus is in a power saving mode(S320), and of forming an image of the printing data(S380) by releasing the power saving mode when the printing data is initially stored and a predetermined time elapses(S360). The method further includes a step of releasing the power saving mode and forming an image of the printing data when the quantity of the printing data stored and accumulated in the image forming apparatus is equal to or greater than a threshold. The method further includes a step of forming the image of the printing data after other job is finished when the power saving mode is released due to the performance of the other job by the image forming apparatus.
