PURPOSE: A pharmaceutical composition containing a dibenzylbutyllactone lignan derivative separated from the bark of Torreya nucifera(L.) Sieb. et Zucc. as an active component is provided. The dibenzylbutyllactone lignan derivative protects a liver cell from toxicity induced by carbon tetrachloride and galactosamine and effectively inhibits the proliferation of HSC2 liver. It is, therefore, effectively used in protection of the liver cell and treatment of acute, chronic liver disease. CONSTITUTION: The pharmaceutical composition contains a dibenzylbutyllactone lignan derivative represented by the formula(1) and a pharmaceutically acceptable salt. In formula, R1, R2, R3, R4 and R5 are each independently hydroxyl or methoxy groups. The dibenzylbutyllactone lignan derivative is prepared by extracting the bark of Torreya nucifera in lower alcohol at 20 to 80deg.C for 1 to 3hr, fractioning the extract with dichloromethane and then performing column chromatography.

PURPOSE: A meso-dihydroguaiaretic acid derivative, an inhibitor of the liver fibrosis containing the derivative, a Machilus thunbergii Sieb et Zucc. extract for inhibiting the liver fibrosis and a medical composition containing the extract for inhibiting the liver fibrosis are provided, wherein the derivative shows an excellent activity inhibiting the liver fibrosis. CONSTITUTION: The meso-dihydroguaiaretic acid derivative is represented by the formula 1, wherein R1 and R2 are independently H or an alkyl group of C1-C4; and R3 and R4 are independently an alkyl group of C1-C4 (but meso-dihydroguaiaretic acid is excluded). The Machilus thunbergii Sieb et Zucc. extract is obtained by extracting Machilus thunbergii Sieb et Zucc. with an alcohol of C1-C4, and optionally suspending it with water; fractionating the extracted one with CH2Cl2; and separating the obtained CH2Cl2 fraction by column chromatography.

A binocular/multi-view stereo matching apparatus using object/background separation and image segmentation and a method therefor are provided to classify a binocular/multi-view image acquired from a video device into an object region and a background region, segment the binocular/multi-view image according to the classified regions, and perform stereo matching on the basis of the segmented regions to reduce mismatching by a shielding region. A region judging unit(130) classifies and judges a region of a binocular/multi-view image into an object region and a background region, and generates object and background separation information for the binocular/multi-view image according to the judged result. A disparity estimating unit(140) segments the binocular/multi-view image according to a similar region, and separately obtains an object disparity map and a background disparity map by using the segmented binocular/multi-view image and the generated object and background separation information. A disparity map synthesizing unit(150) synthesizes the object disparity map and the background disparity map, and generates a scene disparity map for the binocular/multi-view image.

PURPOSE: Provided is a novel pyrrole derivative of the formula(1) isolated from Lycium chinense MILL having hepatoprotective activity. Therefore, it can be used as a pharmaceutical composition or a health food for the prevention and treatment of liver diseases. CONSTITUTION: The novel pyrrole derivative is represented by the formula(1), wherein R1 to R3 represent hydrogen, halogen and C1-4 alkyl group individually, provided that they are not hydrogen at the same time. A pharmaceutical composition for the prevention and treatment of liver diseases contains the pyrrole derivative together with pharmaceutically acceptable carrier. And a health food contains the pyrrole derivative together with a food additive.
