    Abstract: PURPOSE: Provided is a gene coding thermostable D-amino acid aminotransferase originated from thermophile Bacillus sp. strain, symbiotic strain of thermophilic absolute symbiont, Symbiobacterium. And a preparation method of thermostable D-amino acid aminotransferase is also provided. The prepared D-amino acid aminotransferase has broad substrate specificity and excellent activity at high temperature to be useful as biological catalyst in the preparation of D-amino acid. CONSTITUTION: A gene of D-amino acid aminotransferase originated from thermophile Bacillus sp. strain has base sequence represented by the sequence 1a and 1b. The THERMODURIC D-amino acid aminotransferase is prepared by culturing an E.coli transformant XL1-Blue/pDSK01 transformed by an expression vector pDSK 01 including the gene for D-amino acid aminotransferase, to express D-amino acid transferase.
