Abstract: PURPOSE: An airbag cushion for protecting a pedestrian is provided to maximize the performance for protecting the pedestrian by preventing the initial pressure of airbag gas, which is sprayed from an inflator, from being directly delivered. CONSTITUTION: An airbag cushion for protecting a pedestrian comprises a main cushion(20), a dispersion pocket(30), and a tether(40). The internal space of the main cushion is comprised of a plurality of division chambers(22). An inlet(31) and a plurality of gas discharging units(32) are integrally equipped to the dispersion pocket. The inlet receives the airbag gas from an inflator(1). The gas discharging unit discharges the airbag gas to the division chamber. Both ends of the tether are connected to the main cushion and prevents the main cushion from flowing.

Abstract: A system and a method for enhancing security of a vehicle by adding a body authorization module welded to the frame of vehicle body structure to avoid a vehicle from being stolen by a thief having an assembly of an engine ECU, an ignition key set, and an ignition key. A system for enhancing security of a vehicle fitted with an immobilizer with a body authorization module includes a transponder(10a) which is embedded in a key(10) to transmit identification and encrypted code of an ignition key, an immobilizer(30) which allows communication between the transponder and an engine ECU(40) to exchange information, a body authorization module(50) which stores an encrypted code and generates random numbers for authorization by using a random number generated by an engine ECU at the time of starting an engine and the stored encrypted code of a body as variables in order to transmit the generated random number, and an engine ECU which applies signals for starting an engine when a key is verified as a valid key by passing both a first ignition key authorization routine exchanging and comparing data with the body authorization module and a second ignition key authorization routine exchanging and comparing data with the transponder. A method for enhancing security of a vehicle fitted with an immobilizer with a body authorization module includes a step of activating the body authorization module by applying electrical power from the engine ECU when a key is inserted to ignition/starting switch, a step of processing a first body authorization routine which exchanges and compares data with a body authorization module, a step of activating a transponder by supplying electricity to the transponder when an ignition switch is on, a step of processing a first body authorization routine which exchanges and compares data with the transponder, and a step of transmitting engine start signals after passing the second body authorization routine or prohibiting start of an engine if any of the first or the second body authorization routine is failed.
