Abstract: PURPOSE: A device and a method for detecting the defective wiring of a resolver of an environmentally-friendly vehicle are provided to verify the existence of the defective wiring of lead wires for connecting input and output terminals of the resolver accurately and conveniently without additional equipment and devices in a process inspecting the performance of a driving motor after manufacturing the driving motor. CONSTITUTION: A device for detecting the defective wiring of a resolver(101) of an environmentally-friendly vehicle comprises a first phase extraction unit(201), a second phase extraction unit(203), a control unit(205), and a display unit(301). The resolver outputs a first carrier frequency amplitude-modulated with respect to the excitation signals input to a stator with a first output terminal and outputs a second carrier frequency with a second output terminal. The first phase extraction unit extracts phases of the first carrier frequency output by the first output terminal of the resolver. The second phase extraction unit extracts phases of the second carrier frequency output by the second output terminal of the resolver. The control unit compares phases of a carrier frequency of the extraction signals input to the resolver and the phases of the first and second carrier frequencies, thereby diagnosing a wiring state of lead wires of the input and output terminals. The display unit outputs the wiring state of the lead wires diagnosed by the control unit with a preset message.
