Abstract: Preparation of granulated pigment comprises: (1) dispersing at least two different pigments in a solution of a thermoplastic polymer(s) and optionally a dispersing agent; and (2) granulating the mixture with solvent removal. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) plastic molding compositions colored with the pigment preparations; and (2) laminated films containing at least one layer colored with the pigment preparation.

Abstract: The invention relates to a method for carrying out the automated preparation and characterization of liquid multi-constituent systems comprised of at least two, preferably at least three, constituents. The inventive method involves the automated preparation of a mixture by combining at least two, preferably at least three, constituents in a vessel, whereby at least one constituent is dosed into the vessel in an automated manner. The method also involves the automated homogenization of the mixture followed by an automated measuring and evaluation. The device for implementing said method comprises at least one dosing station (5), a closing station (7), a homogenizing station (9), a measuring station (13) for determining formulation properties, and an evaluation unit.

Abstract: Pigment preparations in granulated form (I) containing a pigment, thermoplastic polymer(s) and optionally a dispersant are obtained by (a) dispersing the pigment (A) in a solution of the polymer (B) in an organic solvent in the absence or presence of a dispersant (C) and then (b) removing solvent to form granules. Independent claims are also included for: (1) a method for pigmenting plastic moulding materials by incorporating (I) in the material; (2) plastic moulding materials (II) pigmented with (I); (3) laminated sheet in which at least one layer is pigmented with (I); and (4) formed plastic parts with laminated sheet as in (4) on at least one surface, bonded via the substrate layer with back-stamped, back-injected, back-poured or back-foamed moulding material.
