    Abstract: Non-aq., moisture-cured copolymer prepns. (I) are claimed, contg. (A) 4-90 pts. wt. of a copolymer of (a1) 40-99 wt% (1-14C alkyl) (meth)acrylate(s), opt. contg. an ether gp., (a2) 1-60 wt% monomer(s) of formula CH2=CR1-X-R2-NCO (i) and (a3) 0-40 wt% other unsatd. comonomer(s) and (B) 10-96 pts. wt. of a copolymer of (b1) 70-99.9 wt% of a monomer of type (a1), or a vinyl 1-20C carboxylate and/or 3-22C vinyl ether, (b2) 0.1-20 wt% unsatd. anhydride monomer and (b3) 0-40 wt% other unsatd. comonomer; monomers (a3), (b1), (b2) and (b3) contain no acidic OH, CH, NH or SH gps.. In (i) R1 = H or Me; R2 = 1-12C hydrocarbylene, opt. contg. one or more O atoms in the chain; X = -COO- or phenylene. (I) are produced by prepg. (A) and (B) under anhydrous conditions, and polymerising (B) in an aprotic solvent. Pref. (A) and (B) both have K value 10-150 (0.01 g/ml in THF); (a1) is ethyl, n-butyl, n-hexyl and/or 2-ethylhexyl acrylate contg. 0-10 wt% MMA; (a2) has the above formula with X = -COO-, and pref. (a2) is omega-isocyanato-ethyl (meth)acrylate or omega-isocyanato-3-oxapentyl methacrylate; (b1) is a (1-14C alkyl) (meth)acrylate opt. with an ether linkage in the alkyl gp.; (b2) is maleic, itaconic and/or citraconic anhydride. USE/ADVANTAGE - (I) are useful as moisture-cured adhesives, sealing materials or coating materials (claimed). (I) have a good storage life and cure rapidly under the action of moisture to give acrylate copolymers with increased elasticity and ductility, together with good adhesive, cohesive and surface properties, good filler capacity and compatibility with pigments.     Abstract: Silicon-containing polymers consist of a) from 65 to 99.95 parts by weight of one or more acrylates and/or methacrylates of an aliphatic alcohol of 1 to 12 carbon atoms (monomers A), b) from 0 to 30 parts by weight of one or more ethylenically unsaturated monomers capable of undergoing free radical copolymerization (monomers B), c) from 0.05 to 10 parts by weight of one or more anhydrides of an alpha , beta -monoethylenically unsaturated dicarboxylic acid of 4 to 10 carbon atoms (monomers C) or from 0.1 to 10 parts by weight of one or more monomers containing one or more isocyanate groups and capable of undergoing free radical copolymerization (monomers D) and d) effective amounts of one or more silanes of the general formula I NH2-R1-Si(R2)3-m(R3)m(I) where m is 0, 1 or 2, R1 is a hydrocarbon chain of not more than 10 carbon atoms which may be interrupted by oxygen or nitrogen, the radicals R2 are identical or different hydrolyzable groups and the radicals R3 are identical or different C1-C5-alkyl groups. These silicon-containing polymers are suitable as base polymers for the preparation of sealing compounds curable under the action of atmospheric humidity.
