Abstract:
Carbamates of the formula where either R1 is straight-chain or branched alkyl of not more than 4 carbon atoms and R2 is straight-chain or branched alkyl of not more than 6 carbon atoms, or R1 and R2, together with the molecular moiety which they include, form a 5-membered, 6-membered or 7-membered heterocyclic ring, R3 is straight-chain or branched alkyl of not more than 6 carbon atoms or cycloalkyl of 3 to 6 carbon atoms, R4 is methyl or methoxy, and n is 1 or 2, their preparation and their use as insecticides.
Abstract:
Gemeinschaftliche Herstellung von Ethylencyanhydrin (Ia) und dessen Ethern R - O - CH2 - CH2 - CN .. Ib (R = org. Rest), indem man einen Alkohol R-OH (II) in Gegenwart einer Base mit 2,2'-Dicyandiethylether (III) umsetzt.
Abstract:
Trimethylolalkanes are prepared by reacting an n-alkanal with formaldehyde and a trialkylamine in aqueous solution and then hydrogenating the product, by a method in which from 2.2 to 4.5 moles of formaldehyde and from 0.6 to 3 moles of trialkylamine are used per mole of the alkanal, and the reaction mixture is worked up by distillation either before or after the hydrogenation.
Abstract:
Prodn. of 2,2-disubstd. 3-chloropropionate esters of formula (I) is effected by (a) converting a 2,2-disubstd. 3-hydroxypropanal of formula (II) into an ester diol of formula (III); (b) reacting (III) with an alcohol of formula (IV) in the presence of a transesterification catalyst; and (c) reacting the resulting 2,2-disubstd. 3-hydroxypropionate ester (V) with at least the stoichiometric amt. of SOCl2: R1 and R2 = 1-6C alkyl, 2-6C oxaalkyl, alkenyl, oxaalkenyl, aryl or 7-12C aralkyl, or CR1R2 is a 5- to 7-membered ring; R3 is as defined for R1 and R2 but not aryl.
Abstract:
The process involves reacting a) organic and/or modified organic polyisocyanates with b) relatively high-molecular-weight compounds containing at least two reactive hydrogen atoms and c) optionally low-molecular-weight chain extenders, in the presence of d) catalysts, e) blowing agents, f) flameproofing agents and optionally g) assistants and/or additives, where the following are used: starting component (b) is a mixture having a mean functionality of from 2 to 4 and a mean molecular weight of from 2,200 to 8,000, and preferably containing: bi) from 40 to 94 parts by weight of at least one polyoxyalkylene polyol having a functionality of from 2 to 4 and a mean molecular weight of from 250 to 8,000, bii) from 3 to 25 parts by weight of at least one polymer-modified polyoxyalkylene polyol having a mean functionality of from 2 to 4 and a mean molecular weight of from 1,200 to 8,000, selected from the group comprising graft polyoxyalkylene polyols, and polyurethane-polyalkylene polyols containing bonded polyurea, polyhydrazide and/or tert.-amino groups, and biii) from 3 to 35 parts by weight of at least one polyoxyalkylene-polyamine having a functionality of from 2 to 4 and a mean molecular weight of from 1,800 to 8,000, and the flameproofing agent (f) is melamine or a mixture of melamine and other flameproofing agents.
