Abstract: A process is disclosed for continuously producing expandable styrene polymers by polymerising styrene in the presence of expanding agents in three steps: (a) prepolymerising styrene in the mass; (b) dispersing the prepolymer in an aqueous phase; and (c) polymerising the prepolymer in an aqueous suspension.
