    Abstract: A thermoplastic moulding composition which is a mixture of 5-95% by weight of an impact-modified styrene-maleic anhydride copolymer (I) and 95-5% by weight of a polycarbonate (II). The impact-modified styrene-maleic anhydride copolymer (I) is a mixture of two constituents A and B. It contains from 50 to 95% by weight of a copolymer A, based on A + B, which is built up from: a1) from 65 to 95 parts by weight of a monovinylaromatic monomer, a2) from 5 to 35 parts by weight of an unsaturated dicarboxylic anhydride, optionally a3) from 2 to 15 parts by weight of an acrylically unsaturated monomer. Constituent B is present in a proportion of 5 to 50% by weight, based on A + B, and is a graft copolymer built up from: b1) from 50 to 90 parts by weight of a rubber which has a glass transition temperature, Tg, of below 0 DEG C, b2) from 10 to 50 parts by weight of a monovinylaromatic monomer, and b3) from 0.1 to 25 parts by weight of a (meth)acrylate and/or acrylonitrile, where, regarding the parts by weight of the monomers building up the hard matrix and the graft shell, the absolute values of the difference of the parts by weight between the sum of [a2) and a3)] and [b3)] differ by 4 or less than 4. The moulding composition according to the invention is prepared by mixing the constituents component I with component II in the melt. The moulding compositions according to the invention are used for the production of mouldings.

    Abstract: The invention relates to a thermoplastic moulding composition comprising from 90 to 99% by weight, based on the moulding composition, of at least one copolymer A made from at least one vinylaromatic monomer and at least one ethylenically unsaturated monomer. The moulding composition furthermore contains from 0.5 to 5% by weight of a polyalkylene polyether B of the formula with the proviso that n may adopt values from 3 to 200, R' is H and/or CH3 and X is RCO- or R-, where R can contain 1 to 30 carbon atoms. The moulding composition furthermore contains a component C in a proportion of from 0.5 to 5% by weight which is a copolymer made from styrene and at least one further monomer unit containing at least one carboxyl function. The moulding composition may contain conventional additives and is used to produce mouldings.
