Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new method for production of acrylic acid by means of heterogeneously catalyzed partial gas phase oxidation of propylene. SOLUTION: There is disclosed the method for producing acrylic acid by means of heterogeneously catalyzed partial gas phase oxidation of propylene in two steps, wherein the propylene used is obtained by previous dehydrogenation of propane; a first oxidation step is operated along with the limited propylene conversion; and unconverted propane and the propylene in the product gas mixture of a second step of partial oxidation are substantially recycled by supplying them into the previous propane dehydrogenation process. Abstract:
A process for the heterogeneously catalyzed gas-phase partial oxidation of an organic compound over a fixed catalyst bed present in a fixed-bed reactor having a plurality of catalyst tubes, in which the reduction of the quality of the catalyst load with increasing duration of operation is restored by a partial catalyst change, is described.
Abstract:
Process for preparation of a water absorbing resin from acrylic acid by its absorption from the reaction gases from catalytic gas phase oxidation of propane, propylene and/or acrolein in an absorption liquid or by separation of the crude acid from the reaction gases by fractional condensation, purification by crystallization, treatment of the crude acrylic acid with an aldehyde trap, (c) separation of pure acrylic acid by distillation, and its radical polymerization is new. A process for preparation of a water absorbing resin involving:(a) production of crude acrylic acid either (a) absorption of acrylic acid from the reaction gases from the catalytic gas phase oxidation of propane, propylene and/or acrolein in an absorption liquid and isolation of crude acrylic acid from acrylic acid loaded absorption liquid, or (a2) by separation of crude acrylic acid from the reaction gases by fractional condensation, and purification by crystallization, (b) treatment of the crude acrylic acid with an aldehyde trap, (c) separation of pure acrylic acid from the crude acrylic acid by distillation, and (d) radical polymerization, optionally after partial neutralization, optionally mixed with other ethylenically unsaturated monomers, of the pure acrylic acid.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a method for producing acrylic acid by means of two-stage heterogeneously catalyzed partial gas phase oxidation of propylene. According to said method, previously dehydrogenated propane is used as a propylene source while the first partial oxidation stage is operated so as to limit propylene reaction. Furthermore, unreacted propane and propylene contained in the product gas mixture of the second partial oxidation stage are largely redirected into the propane dehydrogenation process taking place upstream.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a method for the heterogeneously catalysed partial gas phase oxidation of propene to form acrolein, whereby the initial mixture of reaction gas is oxidised on a fixed-bed catalyst bed arranged in two successive reaction zones A and B, with a propene load

Abstract:
Disclosed is a method for producing catalytically active multielement oxide materials containing at least one of the elements Nb and W as well as elements Mo, V, and Cu. According to the inventive method, an intimate dry mixture containing ammonium ions is produced and is thermally treated at a raised temperature in an atmosphere that is low in molecular oxygen. A partial quantity of the ammonium ions contained in the intimate dry mixture is decomposed so as to release ammonia while the oxygen concentration of the thermal treatment atmosphere is increased in the course of the thermal treatment.
