Abstract:
An enhanced service platform has an interface (25) for receiving communications from a user requesting desired data. An automated response module (40) parses the communication and retrieves the desired data. The enhanced service platform arranges the desired data into a response message that is sent to the user, where the response message includes an embeded code corresponding to a link allowing the user to re-contact the enhanced platform. An operator assistence module (35) receives communications from the user initiated via the link to provide further assitance regarding user's request.
Abstract:
A method is provided for operating a directory assistance system having a plurality of different network elements operating on different protocols. The method includes receiving, at a first network element, operating on a first operating protocol, an incoming directory assistance call from a caller (4). A universal call identifier data is then assigned to the call. The call is then transmitted to a second network element, operating on a second operating protocol, wherein the same universal call identifier is accepted by the second network element. A record is generated of the exchange of the call between the first and second network elements based on the assigned universal call identifier data.
Abstract:
A method for enhanced commercial activities to a mobile device user includes providing a user with an application for use on a mobile wireless device and receiving an incoming communication from the wireless device via the application at an enhanced services platform of a directory assistance center. Stored account information, associated with the user is retrieved and a coded information is received from the wireless device, where the coded information is generated by the application based on input uploaded onto the wireless device by the user obtained from any one of the group selected from a product advertisement, a product price tag and digital image of a product. The coded information is parsed at the enhanced services platform, options are retrieved related to a product corresponding to the coded information and the user is provided with options relating to the product.
Abstract:
A system for providing search results having a portal for receiving search requests and a means for obtaining prior search results from telephonic directory assistance requests. A trend module analyzes the obtained prior search results from telephonic directory assistance requests; where results provided to a user in response to the search request received at the portal are affected by the prior search results from telephonic directory assistance requests.
Abstract:
A call routing system employs a primary call outing device configured to receive directory assistance calls from callers at a first directory assistance system, and determines, for each of the calls, whether they will be handled by the first directory assistance system, or by a second directory assistance system among a plurality of directory assistance systems. A secondary router is also provided, configured to route the calls within the first directory assistance system to the primary call routing device The secondary router has a default call distribution logic, such that if the primary call routing device is off-line, the secondary call router routes the calls among the first directory assistance system and the plurality of directory assistance systems according to the default distribution logic.
Abstract:
The present invention is a call routing system for use in directory assistance. The call routing system employs a primary call routing device configured to receive directory assistance calls from callers at a first directory assistance system, and determines, for each of the calls, whether they will be handled by the first directory assistance system, or by a secon d directory assistance system among a plurality of directory assistance system s. A secondary router is also provided, configured to route the calls within th e first directory assistance system to the primary call routing device. The secondary router has a default call distribution logic, such that if the primary call routing device is off-line, the secondary call router routes th e calls among the first directory assistance system and the plurality of directory assistance systems according to the default distribution logic.
Abstract:
A directory assistance system includes a plurality of call centers, each configured to handle a directory assistance request from a caller. An ICM/IVR edge queuing module has a first IVR module and second ICM module and is coupled to each of the call centers. The ICM/IVR edge queuing module receives an incoming call from a caller and obtains interactive responses pertinent to call center routing. The ICM module routes the call to one call center among the plurality of call centers based on a type of service requested by the caller as determined by the interactive responses received by the IVR module.
Abstract:
An ENUM services system includes a server module configured to support an ENUM account for a subscriber. The ENUM account has a single incoming contact number for the subscriber and one or more preferred outbound contact addresses, such that when a caller calls the single incoming contact number the call is connected to the subscriber on one or more preferred outbound contact addresses. A supplemental ENUM services platform is coupled to the server module to allow the subscriber of the ENUM account to map additional internet ready devices to the ENUM account, so that the subscriber may contact the system using the ENUM account to remotely control the additional internet ready devices.
