Abstract:
The resistance of high-Tc ceramic superconductors, such as YBa2Cu3Ox, to environmental influences is appreciably increased by the introduction of hydrophobic surface-protecting groups. To this end, the superconductor material is subjected to a brief preliminary treatment with water and then treated in (CH3)SiCl or a similar material.
Abstract:
The invention concerns a method of preparing 1-hydroxypyridones of general formula (I), in which R is a phenyl or phenoxy group which may be substituted as specified in claim 1, from the corresponding pyrones and hydroxylamine or a hydroxylammonium salt.
Abstract:
Manufacture of heat-drying, water-dilutable paints on the basis of (a) epoxy resins with no amino groups, (b) of an aqueous dispersion or solution of saturated polyester resins or of their modification products in oil, (c) organic wetting agents and, where appropriate (d) pigments and/or the usual additives in specific quantity ratios, whereby these components are processed together in one or more stages reducing the size of the original particles to produce a homogeneous paint whose particle size is lower that 100 microns, and the use of the paints obtained in this way as a covering medium for coating, in particular of metallic substrates, by means of non-electric coating procedures or of electrostatic spraying.
Abstract:
The lacs are appropriate for the cataphoretic deposit of a coating on electrically conducting substrates used as cathodes. They are prepared with 5 - 35% by weight at least of an epoxy resin, 2 - 20% by weight at least of a ketonic and/or hydrocarbonated resin, 15 - 60% by weight at least of a cationic synthetic resin with functional groups, present with a concentration of 10-70% as a dispersion or solution, 5 - 30% by weight at least of an organic cross-linking agent, solid at room temperature and 0 to 70% by weight of pigments and/or additives. All these compounds are mixed in a ground aggregate state, in one or a plurality of steps, one step at least occuring in a wet medium, so as to form an homogeneous lac which has a particle size of less than 100, preferably less than 15 //cm. The mixture is then brought with water at a solid particle content required by a substrate which is preferably comprise between 1 and 30% by weight. The method allows to obtain a good homogeneity of the particles and thereby a uniform thickness of the coating layer exhibiting a particularly high resilience resistance.
Abstract:
Method for preserving solid, liquid or paste-like perishable goods such as foodstuffs, animal feed and body-care and beauty products, wherein the product to be preserved is processed at high pressure. According to said method, a high degree of preservation is achieved while using a minimum amount of preservative or at least a tolerable preservative. This is done by mixing the product to be preserved with a microbiostatically active preservation agent and subsequently processing said product at high pressure.
Abstract:
Process for improving mixed materials, liquid substances, particularly viscous substances, in mixing boiler reactors. The substance is moved and displaced at a location or a plurality of locations of the inner wall of the reactor and is subjected to a change of direction at different heights perpendicularly to the mixer flow. Said process is particularly appropriate for fermentation reactors. Further, there is disclosed a corresponding mixing boiler reactor.
Abstract:
Compound having the formula (FORMULA) or its salts of addition of acids physiologically acceptable and process for its preparation, wherein is reacted: a) N-benzylpiperazine and 5-methoxy-benzofurane-2-carboxylic acid, a1) at a higher temperature and without using a condensing agent or a2) at a temperature of at least 15` C in presence of appropriate condensing agents, b) N-benzylpiperazine with an activated sub-product of 5-methoxybenzofurane-2-carboxylic acid or c) N-(5-methoxy-2-benzofuroyl)-piperazine with a benzyl halide, an alkyl-sulfonate of benzyl or an aryl-sulfonate of benzyl. Medicine, containing the above compound.
Abstract:
Non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs proved to be effective drugs for combating and preventing asthma if administered by inhalation. Useful are for instance acetylsalicylic acid, and indomethacin, and ketoprofen, and tenoxicam. Suitable pharmaceutical compositions for inhalation are aerosols with a particle size of from 0.5 mu m to 7 mu m which enter the compartments of the lungs. Aqueous or aqueous-organic solutions or suspensions can be nebulized in combination with propelling agents, or mixtures of powders with microfine drugs can be administered using inhalers. These pharmaceutical compositions may comprise appropriate additives, in order to improve their relevant pharmaceutical properties.
