Abstract: 1-Aryl-1,2,4-triazolyl-3-carboxylic acid 4-aminopiperidines (I) and their salts are new. Z = phenyl (opt. substd.) Y = H; halo; CN; NO2; COOR6; 1-6C alkyl (opt. substd.) 2-6C alkenyl or alkynyl; 3-6C cycloalkyl (opt. substd.) or Z. R = 1-4C alkyl; R1 = H; benzyl; CH2CN; -COOR7; OH or O; R2 = H; 1-4C alkyl; or 1-4C acyl; R3, R4 = H or 1-4C alkyl; or R3 + R4 = 4-6C alkanediyl with 1 CH2 opt. replaced by O, S, NH or 1-4C alkylimino; R5 = H or 1-4C alkyl; R6 = 1-4C alkyl; R7 = 1-6C alkyl. USE/ADVANTAGE - (I) are pesticides, esp. fungicides. They have a protective and curative activity and are esp. effective in plant protection against Oomycetes (e.g. Plasmopara viticola and Phytophthora infestans), Botrytis and Ascomycetes. In addition, they can be used to protect wood, paints, lubricants used in metal processing as well as drilling and cutting oils. Application in plant protection is at 0.005-10 kg/ha, esp. 0.01-5 kg/ha. (I) are effective in lower doses than cpds. known from DE3901246 and DD138729.
