Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To combine a large amount of information due to a high resolution with an ease of a watch on displayed contents. SOLUTION: When a user performs a predetermined operation by changing a display resolution of a display device 10 by a resolution changing part 22, texts and images displayed within an area of a window can be changed in size with a one-touch operation. A position and a size of the window before changing the display resolution is acquired by an acquiring part for information before changing 21 not to vary the position and size of the window before and after changing the display resolution, so that a processing part 23 for changing display of window performs display processing of the window based on the information before changing. The texts and images are configured to change resolution according to the change of the display resolution.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To properly control execution environment when a computer executes software according to the software to be executed by the computer. SOLUTION: When a sound volume value, etc., of outputted sound are changed at a state that a specified application program is executed, the changed values, etc., are registered in a sound volume setting data base by making them correspond to class names of the application program under execution after confirming whether or not the sound volume value, etc., after change are registered (170 to 182). In addition, the class name of the application program corresponding to a window to newly obtain a focus is acquired when the focus of the window displayed on a display screen is switched (156 to 162) and when the sound volume value, etc., are registered in the sound volume setting data base (affirmative in 164), sound volume, etc., of the outputted sound are changed (166, 168).
Abstract:
To control an environment for a computer's software execution appropriately to each software program to be executed by a computer. While a specific application program is executed, if a volume value, etc. of output voices/sounds are updated, it is confirmed whether to register updated values of the volume, etc. before those values are register ed in a volume setting data base so as to be corresponded to a class name of a currently executed application program (170 to 182). In addition, if a focused window on a screen is changed, the class name of the application program corresponding to a new window to be focused is obtained (156 to 162). If a volume value, etc. of the application program are already registered in a volume setting data base (YES in 164), the volume, etc. of the output voices/sounds are updated (166, 168).

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily perform switching of windows after the execution of power management. SOLUTION: This device is provided with a mode transfer determination module 200a which determines the transfer to a power save mode when prescribed conditions are fulfilled; a full screen window opening module 200b which instructs a multi-window OS to open a full screen window in order to reduce the energy consumption of a display when transfer to a power save mode is determined; a window information acquisition module 200c which acquires the information of an open window from the multi-window OS; a window array module 200d which instructs the multi-window OS to arrange the window in a way an active window is displayed on the front of the full screen window; and a full screen window closing module 200e which instructs the multi-window OS to close all the full screen window according to the instruction to end a power save mode. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To carry out a process coordinated with a built-in button by operation from an external input device. SOLUTION: The information processor 10 having the input device is provided with: an output part 205 outputting information from the information processor 10 to the outside; the built-in button 185 carrying out control of the output part 205 in response to input from the outside; a first input information receiving part 140 receiving external input information which is input information to a key from the external input device 50 having the key that is different from the built-in button 185; and a control process part 150 carrying out the same process as when the built-in button 185 is inputted when it is determined that the external input information matches with predetermined setting information. Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize the compatibility of fullness of information amount by high resolution and easiness of watching display contents by making the changeover of a normal display and a magnified display possible by an easy operation. SOLUTION: In a computer system possessing a display device as an output means, it is provided with an input section 50 which issues a change request of display magnification by receiving an operation by a user, a resolution change section 10 which changes the resolution of the display device according to the change request of the display magnification issued by the input section 50 and a window size change section 20 which changes a display size of a prescribed window displayed on a display screen 70 of the display device to be displayed nearly the whole of the display screen 70 after the resolution is changed by the resolution change section 10.
Abstract:
Configuration and operation information with respect to more than one display devices associated with a computer system can be gathered and stored as profiles. The information preferably includes at least one of information on the number of colors, resolution, and synchronous frequency, information on the power management function and/or screen saver function, and information on which one of multiple connected displays is to be treated as the primary display device. By selecting a profile so as to simultaneously perform various settings on the plurality of display devices, it is possible to easily set and switch between display functions.
Abstract:
A method, apparatus, and computer program device to control an environment for a computer's software execution appropriately to each software program to be executed by a computer are disclosed. While a specific application program is executed, if a volume value, etc. of output voices/sounds are updated, it is confirmed whether to register updated values of the volume, etc. before those values are registered in a volume setting data base so as to be corresponded to a class name of a currently executed application program. In addition, if a focused window on a screen is changed, the class name of the application program corresponding to a new window to be focused is obtained. If a volume value, etc. of the application program are already registered in a volume setting data base, the volume, etc. of the output voices/sounds are updated.

Abstract:
It is an object of the present invention to control an environment for a computer's software execution appropriately to each software program to be executed by a computer. While a specific application program is being executed, if a volume value, etc. of output voices/sounds is updated, it is confirmed whether to register updated values of the volume, etc. before those values are registered in a volume setting data base in which the values are associated with a class name of a currently executed application program (170 to 182 figure 5). In addition, if a focused window on a screen is changed, the class name of the application program corresponding to a new window to be focused is obtained (156 to 162 figure 5). If a volume value, etc. of the application program are already registered in a volume setting data base (YES in 164 figure 5), the volume, etc. of the output voices/sounds are updated (166, 168 figure 5). Various system parameters are discussed including volume, balance, tone, brightness of a display screen and clock speed. Also disclosed is setting of the relevant parameters by moving a visual component (e.g. a slider bar, figure 4).
