Abstract:
To control an environment for a computer's software execution appropriately to each software program to be executed by a computer. While a specific application program is executed, if a volume value, etc. of output voices/sounds are updated, it is confirmed whether to register updated values of the volume, etc. before those values are register ed in a volume setting data base so as to be corresponded to a class name of a currently executed application program (170 to 182). In addition, if a focused window on a screen is changed, the class name of the application program corresponding to a new window to be focused is obtained (156 to 162). If a volume value, etc. of the application program are already registered in a volume setting data base (YES in 164), the volume, etc. of the output voices/sounds are updated (166, 168).
Abstract:
A method, apparatus, and computer program device to control an environment for a computer's software execution appropriately to each software program to be executed by a computer are disclosed. While a specific application program is executed, if a volume value, etc. of output voices/sounds are updated, it is confirmed whether to register updated values of the volume, etc. before those values are registered in a volume setting data base so as to be corresponded to a class name of a currently executed application program. In addition, if a focused window on a screen is changed, the class name of the application program corresponding to a new window to be focused is obtained. If a volume value, etc. of the application program are already registered in a volume setting data base, the volume, etc. of the output voices/sounds are updated.
Abstract:
It is an object of the present invention to control an environment for a computer's software execution appropriately to each software program to be executed by a computer. While a specific application program is being executed, if a volume value, etc. of output voices/sounds is updated, it is confirmed whether to register updated values of the volume, etc. before those values are registered in a volume setting data base in which the values are associated with a class name of a currently executed application program (170 to 182 figure 5). In addition, if a focused window on a screen is changed, the class name of the application program corresponding to a new window to be focused is obtained (156 to 162 figure 5). If a volume value, etc. of the application program are already registered in a volume setting data base (YES in 164 figure 5), the volume, etc. of the output voices/sounds are updated (166, 168 figure 5). Various system parameters are discussed including volume, balance, tone, brightness of a display screen and clock speed. Also disclosed is setting of the relevant parameters by moving a visual component (e.g. a slider bar, figure 4).
Abstract:
Involves initially determining mouse function (38) associated with external force pressing on third key (34), by searching through data-bank (39). Shape (40) of mouse pointer is determined in correspondence to mouse function, by searching through data bank (41). Change in mouse pointer shape, displayed in response to external pressure on key, is basis of determining shape of mouse pointer.
Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a computer device, a display device, a display controller, a storage medium, a program transmission device, and a display control method which can improve visibility without making usability worse. SOLUTION: When a user does specific operation, a view port VP having a specific range around a mouse pointer MP is set and the display resolution of a display 12 is varied, so that the image within the range of the view port VP is enlarged and displayed in the entire display area A of the display 12. At this time, the original desktop display state is still stored in a desktop data storage part and not reset.
Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow a user to specify the sort of a keyboard necessary for generating an on-screen keyboard by a simple operation, without requiring user's knowledge and decision with regard to the sort of the keyboard. SOLUTION: A computer system that requires inputting a password is equipped with an on-screen keyboard part 20 that displays an on-screen keyboard 210 with a specified key layout on the touch panel 200, a keyboard type distinguishing part 10 that determines the key layout of the on-screen keyboard 210 and a password checking part 40 that processes the password inputted by pointing at the on-screen keyboard 210 displayed on the touch panel 200.
Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a device whose removal prevention is required from being removed without damaging operability when removing a device whose removal prevention is not required. SOLUTION: This computer is provided with a device registering part 52 which registers information related with a device being the target of burglar prevention in a burglar prevention object device DB 53, a device event monitoring part 54 which receives the notification of information related with a removal request or removal action for the device, a device detecting part 55 which acquires detail information related with the device whose removal request or removal action has been made, a device identification part 56 for deciding whether or not the device whose detail information has been acquired is registered in the burglar prevention object device DB 53, a password authentication part 57 for requesting password authentication when it is registered in the burglar prevention object device DB53 and a warning control part 59 for issuing warning when the password authentication part 57 is not successful. Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the visibility of a character, etc., in an image in enlarged display. SOLUTION: An image display device is provided with: an image displaying means 3 for displaying an image on the screen on the basis of image data 22; an area indicating means 27 for indicating an area 23 to be enlarged to be a target of enlargement display in the displayed image; and a data changing means 28 for changing a part 26 corresponding to an enlarged display area in the image data so as to display an image of the area to be enlarged in the enlarged display area 24 on the screen. The image display device is further provided with a brightness adjusting means 28 for adjusting a brightness value that corresponding image data have such that the contrast of the image in enlarged display becomes higher than that of the original image in the area to be enlarged. Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To properly control execution environment when a computer executes software according to the software to be executed by the computer. SOLUTION: When a sound volume value, etc., of outputted sound are changed at a state that a specified application program is executed, the changed values, etc., are registered in a sound volume setting data base by making them correspond to class names of the application program under execution after confirming whether or not the sound volume value, etc., after change are registered (170 to 182). In addition, the class name of the application program corresponding to a window to newly obtain a focus is acquired when the focus of the window displayed on a display screen is switched (156 to 162) and when the sound volume value, etc., are registered in the sound volume setting data base (affirmative in 164), sound volume, etc., of the outputted sound are changed (166, 168).
Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multi-monitor system having improved operability of a mouse in an extension desk top environment. SOLUTION: When a screen M1 of a primary monitor 11 is shifted from a screen M2 of a secondary monitor 21, and connected thereto in a predetermined section B2-D1, a mark window 50 is displayed adjacently to the predetermined section B2-D1 on the screen M1 of the primary monitor 11 and the screen M2 of the secondary monitor 21 so that the predetermined section B2-D1 in which a mouse pointer MP is movable can be precisely and rapidly grasped. As options, when the mouse pointer MP is moved onto the mark window 50 or to the vicinity thereof, the mark window is shielded, or the mouse pointer MP is temporarily stopped in a predetermined section, and when the mouse pointer MP is moved to the other screen, the monitor number of the moving destination is displayed on the screen of the moving source.
