Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system for a caller who places a telephone call, using a telephony device via a communication network that links a plurality of telephone destinations. SOLUTION: The system includes a telephone destinations information source containing one or more telephone destination properties associated with one or more telephone destinations. The system also includes a processing unit that is linked communicatably to the telephone destination information source. The processing unit generates one or more telephone destination property indicators, based on one or more telephone destination properties. The telephone destination property indicator is generated, in response to reception of telephone destination identifier that identifies the specified telephone destination by the system. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a differential security policy in an electronic system. SOLUTION: A differential message security policy includes a step 201 for receiving information regarding activities of a user, a step 202 for determining a security risk for the user based on the activities of the user, and a step 203 for setting a security policy for the user based on the security risk. The security policy of the user may be modified based on a change in the security risk of the user or the security risk of the user exceeding a predetermined level. The security risk may be determined based on an aggregated scoring system that uses security variables related to the activities of the user. COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT
Abstract:
A method for routing a communication connection request includes the steps of obtaining context information from a communication connection requestor (320) in response to a communication connection request (310). The steps further include using the context information to determine a communication connection action (335), and connecting the communication connection requestor based upon the connection action (340).
Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a unique house-use adaptor supported by services rendered by an exclusive server/gateway for a board band network and their networks by attaining path designation of a telephone service between a telephone set and a PSTN or the broad band network and path designation of a data communication service between a computer and a network. SOLUTION: An adaptor 22, connected to a house computer 20 supports call processing of one telephone set or between a plurality of telephone sets 27, via a cable network 21 or a local exchange center(LEC) 28 in cooperation with the computer 20. On the occurrence of a power supply failure, an adaptor 22 connects the telephone set 27 to the LEC 28 as a default connection. Furthermore, an incoming call to the telephone set 27 and an outgoing call from the telephone set 27 receives selective path designation under the condition set by a logic value in the inside of the adaptor 22 to the LEC 28 or the cable network 21 as a function of various conditions.
Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To overcome the restriction of a conference at both of a public exchange telephone network(PSTN) and its external network by supplying a conference server with a link to an external network for the PSTN. SOLUTION: A new element exists in a conference control center and is related with at least a data route. This center 2a includes a conference managing system 20a and a conference server system 30. The system 30 is a computer system which is maintained and managed by the PSTN and suited to communication, and includes connection 31 to a conference managing system such as the system 20a. By rough integration with the call managing resource of the PSTN, the system 30 becomes capable of controlling a service relatively executed to a conventional PSTN conference connection in response to a signal sent through the external route of the PSTN. The example of the external route of the PSTN is the external connection 32 to a web.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a network node system and method for connecting one or more telephone lines to one or more wireless connections. SOLUTION: The network node system includes one or more connections to one or more telephone lines, one or more wireless signal generators supporting one or more wireless connections, and one or more controllable interconnections between the telephone line and the wireless signal generator.
Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow a device to control wide variety of services by allowing PSTN users to make communication with a call management resource via a network at the outside of a public switched telephone network PSTN and a device adaptive to communication with the call management resource. SOLUTION: A customer's computer 30 directly communicates with a system 31 that is a TAI component of a telephone station and of a PSTN via a public data network 32 at the outside of the PSTN and servers 33, 34 managed by the PSTN. The server 33 is a data server linking to an external data network. The server 34 acts as a firewall server that protects the system 31 being a service management system of a telephone company against an illegal access from an unauthenticated person and that interacts with the server 33. The arbitration by a service personnel in charge is eliminated by a function of a component in the system 31, and a customer executes a desired revision of a service or a function with a computer and a web 32 via the servers 33, 34.
Abstract:
A conference server system, for internal use in the public switched telephone network (PSTN), links to public data communication networks (e.g. the Internet) for distributing computer displayable data between participants in voice telephone conferences. The server system includes a computer sub-system for storing data generated by the participants and distributing the data in coordination with voice presentations of respective participants. Data so stored and distributed includes computer-displayable data. Other data handled by the computer subsystem represents commands and functional requests issued by participants which pertain to the handling of computer-displayable data and voice parameters of the conference. conference participants, having separate and concurrent access to both the PSTN and the data network, receive and view computer-displayable data prepared by one of the participants in coordination with the respective voice conference. The conference server system connects to voice conference management resources of the PSTN in a manner enabling the server system to control voice parameters of a voice conference in response to data requests received from participants (e.g. requests from hearing-impaired participants for enhanced audio service), as well as enabling the conference management resources to control functions performed in respect to distribution of displayable data in response to spoken requests uttered by the participants, when the telephone system contains appropriate speech recognition equipment.
