A radiation-sensitive resin composition comprising (A) an alkali-soluble resin having an unsaturated group, (B) a compound having at least one ethylenically unsaturated double bond, and (C) a radiation-induced radical polymerization initiator, wherein: the alkali-soluble resin having an unsaturated group (A) is obtained by reacting: 100 parts by weight of a copolymer comprising 1 to 40 wt% structural units derived from (a) a radically polymerizable compound having a carboxyl group; 1 to 50 wt% structural units having a phenolic hydroxyl group which are derived from (b-1) a radically polymerizable compound having a phenolic hydroxyl group or (b-2) a radically polymerizable compound having a functional group convertible into a phenolic hydroxyl group after the copolymerization, other structural units of said copolymer being derived from (c) another radically polymerizable compound; with 0.1 to 20 parts by weight of (d) a radically polymerizable compound having an epoxy group. The resin composition can form a radiation-sensitive film in a thickness greater than a deposit thickness and has a high resolution.

A radiation-sensitive resin composition comprising (A) an alkali-soluble resin having unsaturated groups which is obtained by reacting 100 parts by weight of a copolymer comprising 1 to 40 wt% of constituent units derived from a radical -polymerizable compound (a) having a carboxyl group, 1 to 50 wt% of constituent units having phenolic hydroxyl groups which are derived from a radical-polymerizable compound (b-1) having a phenolic hydroxyl group or a radical-polymerizable compound (b-2) having a functional group which can be converted into phenolic hydroxyl after the formation of the copolymer, and the balance of constituent units derived from other radical -polymerizable compound (c) with 0.1 to 20 parts by weight of a radical-polymerizable compound (d) having an epoxy group, (B) a compound having at least one ethylenically unsaturated double bond, and (C) a polymerization initiator for radiation- initiated radical polymerization. The composition is characterized by forming a radiation-sensitive resin coating film having a thickness larger than the height of a deposit and high resolution.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inorganic powder-containing resin composition having excellent shelf life stability, a transfer film having a layer composed of the resin composition, and a method for producing a member for PDPs wherein the transfer film is used. SOLUTION: The inorganic powder-containing resin composition is characterized by containing (A) an inorganic powder, (B) a polymer having a constitutional unit represented by formula (1), (C) a polyfunctional (meth)acrylate and (D) a photopolymerization initiator. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a resin composition containing an inorganic powder superior in storage stability, in particular the resin composition containing a nonlead glass powder, a transfer film having a layer composed of the resin composition and a method for producing a display panel using the transfer film. SOLUTION: This resin composition containing the inorganic powder comprises (A) an inorganic powder, (B) a binding resin containing a polymer with a pyrrolidone back bone, (C) a polyfunctional (meth)acrylate and (D) a photoinitiator. This method for producing a member for the display panel comprises a step of transferring the resin layer on a substrate from the transfer film having the resin layer composed of the resin composition containing the inorganic powder, a step of forming a latent image of a pattern by exposure of the resin layer, a step of forming the pattern by developing the resin layer and a step of burning the pattern. PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a radiation-sensitive resin composition which is used for producing an inorganic formed article, can form a fine pattern uniformly in a good shape, exhibits a very small shrinkage in a coating film section when the inorganic formed article is produced, and enables the positioning of viaholes in laminating ceramics green sheets to be accurately carried out. SOLUTION: This resin composition contains (A) a polymer which has aciddissociable functional groups dissociable by an acid to form acidic functional groups, (B) a component which generates an acid when exposed to a radiation, and (C) an inorganic powder. The resin composition is applied to a carrier, dried, irradiated with a radiation in a certain pattern, heated, developed to be formed, and baked to give the objective inorganic molded item.

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To form a black matrix which does not give rise to the lighting defect of a liquid crystal display device and has a high resistance value and high light shieldability without affecting electrically adverse influence by incorporating pigments coated with polymers on the grain surfaces of the pigments into a coloring compsn. SOLUTION: The radiation sensitive compsn. for color filters contains the pigments coated with the polymers on the grain surfaces of the pigments. The pigments contain at least one kind of the pigments obtd. by coating the surfaces of the pigment grains with the polymers or adsorbing monomers constituting the polymers thereon, then polymerizing these monomers. The preferable examples of the polymers include polyester, polyacrylate, polyamide, polyether, polyurethane, polycarbonate, alkyd resin, phenolic resin, melamine resin, epoxy resin, novolak resins, etc. Among these polymers, the polyester, epoxy resin and polycarbonate are more preferable.
