    Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a means for omitting the heat insulating treatment of a manifold, and to obtain a refrigerator which has a wide storage capacity inside, and which has a small entire shape. SOLUTION: In a refrigerator 70, a heat insulating material 83 at the upper part of the rear side of a refrigerator body 86 is removed in part, and a manifold 1 is mounted at the location. The manifold 1 forms the part of the wall of the refrigerator body 86. At the location where the manifold 1 is mounted, the inside and outside of the refrigerator body 86 is partitioned by having the manifold 1 as the boundary. The manifold 1 at the heat transfer surface side to be heated is exposed to the outside of the refrigerator body 86, and its heat transfer surface side to be cooled is inside the refrigerator.

    Abstract: PURPOSE:To improve the air-tightness of a compartment by a method wherein when a first door is opened, a partition is turned by connecting a pin to a groove so that the partition is moved to a location where it does not come into contact with a second door, and when the first door is closed, the partition is turned by connecting the pin to the groove so that the partition is moved to a position where the partition comes in contact with the opposite side of hinges of the second door. CONSTITUTION:When a door 6A is closed, a partition 15 intrudes into a compartment 13, a pin 16A is brought into contact with a semicircular groove 19A of the partition 15 in which the pin is fitted free to slide, and moved along the semicircular groove 19A. Thereby, the partition 15 is turned anticlockwise, gaskets 12 on the non-hinged sides of the doors 6A and 6B are brought in close contact with the front face of the partition 15 when the door 6A is in the closed state, and a seal member 18 comes in close contact with the top and bottom edges of the partition 15, so that the inside of the compartment 13 is maintained air-tight. Next, when the door 6A is pulled open, the pin 16A moves along the semicircular groove 19A of the partition 15 in which the pin is fitted free to slide, and the partition is turned clockwise, so that the gaskets 12 are left from the front face of the partition 15, and after that, the door 6A is easily turned open.

Accordingly, a gasket mounting sash frame is unnecessarily eliminated, thereby obviating forming work of the frame of the sash 20. A gap between the door 16 and the outer surface of the sash frame and a gap between the door 12 and the outer surface of the sash frame are also eliminated to obviate the leakage of the insulator 23.

The capacity of the cooling storage chamber is improved and the volume of the same can be increased without complicating the constitution of the same.
