Also, an application apparatus and method for application fluid, for relatively moving a base material wherein stripe-shaped vertical barrier ribs are formed on having a height equal to or lower than the vertical barrier ribs are formed in a direction generally orthogonal to the vertical barrier ribs, and a die provided facing the base material, while discharging application fluid from multiple discharge orifices provided on the die, thereby applying application fluid to selected grooves between the vertical barrier ribs of the base material.

SOLUTION: The coating liquid application apparatus comprises a table for attracting and fixing a substrate to be coated with a coating liquid, a coating head for applying the coating liquid to the substrate at a position opposite to the substrate, a transporting means for relatively transporting the table and the coating head, and a substrate elevating means for mounting the substrate on the table and parting the substrate from the table. In the coating liquid application apparatus, a detection hole penetrating the table in the thickness direction is formed and a detection head part of a substrate detection means to detect existence of the substrate on the table or on the substrate elevating means is inserted in the detection hole.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for producing a plasma-treated sheet in which the discharge electrodes which effect the plasma treatment of the running sheet are coated with a dielectric having a specified or higher specific permittivity and by which the effect of modifying the surface of the sheet and the productivity can be improved. SOLUTION: A specified electric power is supplied from an electric source 4, and the surface of a resin sheet 1 such as a running polyimide resin sheet is treated with a discharge plasma at a current density of 0.1 A.min/m2 or above. The current density is the one between a plurality of opposed discharge electrodes and the electrode 3 formed by coating the surface of a grounded rotary roll with a dielectric 5. The discharge zone between the electrodes 2 and the electrode 3 is formed within a chamber 6, and a gas containing at least 20 mol.% rare earth gas such as argon is fed into the chamber 6 from a gas cylinder 8. Seal mechanisms 9a and 9b are provided at the front and back in the direction in which the sheet is running through the chamber 6, and the gas blowing and suction are performed by means of a gas circulation nozzles 10a and 10b so as to maintain the concentration in the chamber at a specified value. The dielectric having a specific permittivity is desirably barium titanate and may be zirconia, titania, or the like.

SOLUTION: This method for producing a film is the one in which, while oil for an oil mask blown off from the blow-off ports of oil nozzles 3 to 6 is fed to a printing roller 1 via a transfer roller 2, a film 11 is run to form a oil mask on the film 11. In this case, oil for forming an oil mask in the segment in the axial direction of the printing roller 1 and oil for forming an oil mask in the segment in the circumferential direction are blown off respectively from the blow-off ports of the oil nozzles.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To correct meandering rapidly in a vacuum atmosphere so as to convey traveling sheet material stably by providing a sheet material winding-out part, an edge part detector, a sheet material winding-out mechanism and winding-out part guide mechanism in a vacuum chamber. SOLUTION: While confirming the present position of an edge part detector 1 by an edge part detector present position detecting means and a present position display means 13, a push button 14 of an arithmetic part 12 is pressed to move the edge part detector 1 into a reference position corresponding to the width of sheet material. When the sheet material travels by the operation of a vacuum evaporation device and meandering is generated, the edge part detector 1 detects a film edge part, arithmetic processing is performed by the arithmetic part 12 installed in an atmospheric pressure atmosphere, and the result is transmitted to a winding-out moving means 10. Winding part guide mechanism 7 is operated to move a winding-out part 5 in a sheet material width direction, and the meandering quantity is corrected so that the edge part of the sheet material is always in a specified reference position.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a paste applicator that can draw a desired paste pattern by raising accuracy in positioning a substrate and a nozzle head. SOLUTION: The paste applicator is adapted so that it may draw a desirably shaped pattern on a substrate by mounting the substrate on a table so that it may be opposite to the lower plate of a nozzle head having a row of a plurality of nozzle holes at a specified pitch so as to cover the entire width of the substrate and varying the relative position between the nozzle head and the substrate while applying the paste held in a paste holder from the nozzle holes into grooves formed between ribs on the substrate. The inclination of the direction in which the nozzle holes opposite to the extension of the grooves is adjusted on the basis of an alignment mark of the substrate in the position calculated from the nozzle hole position that is the representative from the nozzle holes at least before coating with a coating fluid, the center of the groove situated substantially in the middle of the direction in which the grooves of the substrate are arranged is allowed to coincide with the center of the nozzle hole situated in the center of the arrangement of the nozzle holes, and the coating is thereafter started.

Moreover, driving means 40 and 41 moving frames 21 supporting both axial edge supporting parts of the printing roller 1 and the transfer roller to the direction of the roller axis and a guide mechanism 39 are provided, a displacement measuring apparatus 43 detecting the position in the direction of the roller axis of the frame 21 is provided, and based on the signal from the displacement measuring apparatus 43, the quantity in the axial direction of the frame 21 to be moved is regulated.
