Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a leak of a refrigerant by reducing airtight positions and prevent the burning of a rotor without applying a surface treatment to a side block. SOLUTION: This vane compressor is provided with a cam ring 1, a front head 5 fixed to the front side end face 1a of the cam ring 1, and a rear head 6 fixed to the rear side end face 1b of the cam ring 1 to close the rear side opening of the cam ring 1 and to be kept in contact with the rear side end face 2b of a rotor 2. A front side block 3 is stored in the front head 5 to close the front side opening of the cam ring 1 and to be kept in contact with the front side end face 2a of the rotor 2. The front side block 3 is made of an iron material. Only the cam ring 1, front head 5 and rear head 6 are exposed to the outside space, the number of compressor components exposed to the outside space is reduced than the conventional example, and the seal positions between the components are reduced. Since the front side block 3 is made of the iron material, its sliding characteristic is good, and the burning of the end face of the rotor 2 can be prevented while no surface treatment is applied.

CONSTITUTION:A variable displacement-type vane compressor is provided with an annular piston 54 for pressing a rotary plate 20 to a cylinder 1 side after receiving back pressure Pa, a piston 32 for rotating the rotary plate 20 according to the change of control pressure Pc in a control pressure chamber 40, a high pressure chamber 43 communicated with the control pressure chamber through a Pc supplying hole 48, and into which intake pressure Pd is to be introduced, a pressure adjusting valve mechanism 70 for changing the control pressure Pc according to intake pressure Ps, and a back pressure chamber 60 communicated with the high pressure chamber 43 through a Pa supplying hole 5g, and the passage diameter of the Pa supplying hole 5g is formed smaller than the passage diameter of the Pc, supplying hole 48. Thereby, the back pressure Pa made lower than the control pressure Pc, cylinder 1 is decreased.
