Abstract: A a cartridge type delivery valve assembly in which a valve seat surface and a valve are integrated in order to assure good seating characteristics in the delivery valve. Abstract: A compressor comprising a rear side member (20) that includes a rear head (6) fixed to one end of a cam ring (1), and a movable plate (4) held by the rear head (6) to face one end of a rotor (2) and capable of moving along the axis of a driving shaft (7). When the compressor is started, the movable plate (4) is temporarily pushed to leave the rotor by the pressure of a compression chamber partitioned by vanes (14). As a result, a gap is defined between the movable plate (4) and the rotor (2), and it allows liquid to escape so that liquid compression can be avoided. As the start of the compressor (that is, when a solenoid clutch is turned on), the driving shaft (7) moves towards the rear side and the rotor (2) is pressed against the movable plate (4). However, because the movable plate (4) temporarily moves towards the side opposite to the rotor, the pressure of sliding contact between the rotor (2) and the movable plate (4) lowers, and seizure can be restricted.

Abstract: The outlet valves (20) for the compressor consist of a flat plate (30) rolled up into a cylinder leaving only a narrow slit (32) between the two adjacent edges the cylinder is pushed into a cylindrical bore in the wall of the compressor housing. There is a curved spring flap (40) inside the cylinder which is held by screws (70,71) and which bears against the inside surface of the cylinder. Air from the compressor flows though a bore (31) into the cylinder and blows the valve flap away from the inside wall of the cylinder. If the air tends to blow back into the compressor, the valve flap seals tightly against the inside of the cylinder.

Abstract: A swashplate (24) is mounted to a drive shaft (7) so that it is able to tilt, and a driving hub (20) pivots on the shaft (7) and has a projection section (20c) which extends through the swashplate (24). Mountings (26,27,28;60,70) secure the hub (20) so that it can rotate with and at the same time position itself at an angle to the shaft (7). A bearing (23) is located between the swashplate (24) and the projection (20c) of the driving hub (20). The hub projection (20c) has an external thread (20e) which meshes with an internal thread (28b; 60a, 70a) on the mounting members (26, 27, 28; 60,70). When the threads are screwed home, the bearing (23) is forced against the swashplate (24). ADVANTAGE - Improved swashplate mounting reduces compressor vibration and noise and extends bearing and component life.

SOLUTION: A front-side block 3 and a rear-side block 4 are formed with bearing housing chambers 31 and 30 communicating with a low-pressure side. The bearing housing chambers 31 and 30 hold therein bearings 8 and 9 for rotatably supporting a shaft 7. U rings 32 and 33 used as seal members for the ends of the bearing housing chambers 30 and 31 on side of a rotor 2 are perforated to lead refrigerant gas between the rotor 2 and the end faces 4b and 3b of the side blocks 4 and 3 into the bearing housing chambers 30 and 31.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To disperse an abnormal pressure applied to a holder by constructing a holder of a holding part, which is bent into a circular arc pressing the inside wall of valve insertion space and is used for holding, and a regulating part, which is adjacent to the holding part, and is provided with a radius of curvature larger than that of the holding part and regulates a lift quantity of a roll valve. SOLUTION: A discharge valve 25 is constructed of a roll valve 30 and a holder 40. The holder 40 is constructed of a holding part 41, which is bent into a circular arc with a dimension slightly larger than the diameter of a valve insertion space 23 and presses the inside wall of the valve insertion space 23 over 180 degrees or more when it is inserted into the valve insertion space 23, and a regulating part 42, which is bent into a circular arc with a dimension larger than the diameter of the holding part 41 and regulates a lift quantity of the roll valve 30. In insertion, the roll valve 30 is inserted into a valve insertion space 23, and then, the holder 40 is inserted while being compressed. In this way, restoring force against the compression of the holder 40 works, so that the holder 40 is fixed in the valve insertion space 23, while the roll valve 30 is clamped and fixed between the holder 40 and the inside wall of the valve insertion space 23.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the deformation of a vane, caused by the difference in a coefficient of thermal expansion between a coating part and a matrix, and eliminate the preservation treatment applied to the surface of the coating part, by coating the surface of the aluminium matrix with the stainless coating part. SOLUTION: A rod-like part 34a being a material of an aluminium series matrix 14a is inserted in a stainless pipe 34b being a coating part 14b, only the stainless pipe 34b is heated up to 200 deg.C or more by a heater 20 so as to be thermally expanded, the stainless pipe 34b and the aluminium series matrix 34a are inserted in the hole 21a of a die 21, and the stainless pipe 34b is pulled out while blowing cold air. Thusly, the stainless coating part 14b is coated on the surface of the aluminium matrix 14a. Hereby, the deformation of a vane 14 can be prevented which is caused by difference in the coefficient of thermal expansion between the coating part 14b and the matrix 14a, and the preservation treatment applied to the surface of the coating part 14b can be eliminated.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a replacement of roll valve and valve seat at the same time by installing a discharge valve assembly, which is obtained by integrally forming a roll valve with a discharge hole to be opened and closed by the roll valve, in a valve insertion space. SOLUTION: A locking projection 43 of a valve stopper 40 is fitted in a fitting hole 53 of a roll valve 50 so as to temporary assemble a valve stopper 40 and the roll valve 50. The valve stopper 40 and the roll valve 50 are inserted into a valve holder 30, and the locking projection 43 of the valve stopper 40 is fitted in a fitting hole 33 of the valve holder 30, and the valve stopper 40 and the roll valve 50, which are temporarily assembled, and the valve holder 30 are assembled, and fixed by a screw as a connecting member so as to assemble a discharge valve assembly 20, which is integrally formed with the discharge hole 31, and the discharge valve assembly 20 is installed in a valve insertion space. With this structure, at the time of replacing the roll valve 50, a valve seat surface can be replaced at the same time.

Abstract: PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a leak of a refrigerant by reducing airtight positions and prevent the burning of a rotor without applying a surface treatment to a side block. SOLUTION: This vane compressor is provided with a cam ring 1, a front head 5 fixed to the front side end face 1a of the cam ring 1, and a rear head 6 fixed to the rear side end face 1b of the cam ring 1 to close the rear side opening of the cam ring 1 and to be kept in contact with the rear side end face 2b of a rotor 2. A front side block 3 is stored in the front head 5 to close the front side opening of the cam ring 1 and to be kept in contact with the front side end face 2a of the rotor 2. The front side block 3 is made of an iron material. Only the cam ring 1, front head 5 and rear head 6 are exposed to the outside space, the number of compressor components exposed to the outside space is reduced than the conventional example, and the seal positions between the components are reduced. Since the front side block 3 is made of the iron material, its sliding characteristic is good, and the burning of the end face of the rotor 2 can be prevented while no surface treatment is applied.
