Abstract: A lockstep controller operates a lockstep system of three or more CPU-GPU pairs, comparing the outputs from the CPU-GPU pairs and, by way of a majority vote, provides the output for the lockstep system. Based on comparing the outputs, if one of the CPU-GPU pairs provides outputs that disagree with the majority outputs, it can be switched out of the lockstep system. The removed CPU is replaced by a backup CPU. So that the backup CPU can be part of a CPU-GPU pair, a portion of the address space from the GPU of one of the other CPU-GPU pairs is assigned to the backup CPU to operate as a replacement CPU-GPU pair, while the CPU already associated with this GPU retains another portion of the GPU's address space to continue operating as a CPU-GPU pair.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for monitoring and reporting a status of a memory device are described. A memory device may include monitoring circuitry that may be configured to monitor health and wear information for the memory device. A host device may write to a dedicated register of the memory device, to configure the memory device with health status information reporting parameters. The memory device may monitor and report the health status information of the memory device based on the received reporting configuration or based on a default configuration, and may write one or more values indicative of the health status information to a dedicated register. The host device may perform a read on the readout register to obtain the health status information, as indicated by the one or more values, and may adjust operating procedures or take other actions based on the received health status information.

Abstract: Methods and systems for test deployment of computational code on virtual servers are disclosed. In one embodiment, an exemplary method comprises receiving test computational code programmed to provide resources; selecting a test virtual server from a plurality of virtual servers; uploading the test computational code to the test virtual server; initializing the test computational code on the test virtual server; receiving computational performance measurements of the test virtual server and a remainder of the plurality of virtual servers; calculating a test score of the test virtual server based on the received computational performance measurements; and stopping the test computational code if the test score is outside a set range.

Abstract: A data processing apparatus and a method for processing data are disclosed. The data processing apparatus comprises: processing circuitry to process instructions; and trace circuitry comprising: a trace buffer; write pointer storage to store a write pointer to indicate a current location in the trace buffer; and a call depth counter to indicate a number of events, wherein the trace circuitry is configured to generate trace data indicative of processing activities of the processing circuitry, and in response to a first event to: modify the call depth counter in a first direction, store first trace data indicative of the first event in the trace buffer at the current location, and modify the write pointer to point to a next location in the trace buffer; in response to a second event, when the call depth counter is not equal to a threshold call depth, to: modify the call depth counter in a second direction and modify the write pointer to point to a previous location in the trace buffer; and in response to the second event, when the call depth counter is equal to the threshold call depth, to store second trace data indicative of the second event in the trace buffer at the current location.

Abstract: Examples described herein generally relate to processing event logs where, for each of multiple events in an event log of the one or more event logs, a table of logged event instances can be generated for the event. For each of the multiple events, the table can be processed using an autoencoder to identify one or more of the logged event instances as anomalies, and an indication of at least a portion of the anomalies can be output. In addition, the event logs and/or corresponding tables of events can be used to train models for the autoencoders.

Abstract: Aspects of the disclosure relate to computing platforms that utilize third party data for customized output generation. A computing platform may receive encrypted data corresponding to a travel history. The computing platform may decrypt a portion of the encrypted data, resulting in first decrypted travel history data. The computing platform may direct a user device to display the first decrypted travel history data, along with a first option to continue decrypting a subsequent portion of the encrypted data and a second option to delete the first decrypted travel history data. After receiving a selection of the first option, the computing platform may decrypt the subsequent portion of the encrypted data. After determining that the encrypted data is fully decrypted, the computing platform may process the decrypted data to generate a customized product output, and may direct the user device to display the customized product output.

Abstract: A request to restore a plurality of files to a first storage system from a backup stored at a second storage system is received. Corresponding file relocation metadata for each of the plurality of files is provided to the first storage system. The corresponding file relocation metadata for each of the plurality of files enables accessibility of contents of the plurality of files at the first storage system without storing entire contents of the plurality of files at the first storage system. A corresponding full content version for at least one of the plurality of files that is to be utilized by the first storage system is provided to enable direct access at the first storage system to contents of the at least one of the plurality of files instead of utilizing corresponding file relocation metadata for the at least one of the plurality of files to access the contents of the at least one of the plurality of files.

Abstract: Techniques for generating action recommendations for a data tape system based on a media drive calibration are disclosed. A system receives a request to perform an operation including an exchange between a data tape and a media drive. If the system determines that the operation is a data tape validation operation, the system determines whether the media drive is calibrated. If the calibration value of the media drive does not meet a threshold, the system performs a calibration procedure. The system may calibrate the media drive or replace the media drive with a calibrated media drive. The system performs the validation operation. Based on a validation result, a data tape quality value, and the media drive calibration value, the system generates a recommended action for a data tape.

Abstract: Generating datasets using approximate baselines including receiving, by a source storage system, an instruction to create, on a target storage system, a current snapshot for a source dataset stored on the source storage system, wherein no snapshots for the source dataset exist on the target storage system; selecting, as a baseline dataset, a similar dataset from a plurality of datasets on the source storage system with an existing snapshot on the target storage system, wherein the similar dataset comprises at least a portion of the source dataset; instructing the target storage system to generate a baseline snapshot for the source dataset using a copy of the existing snapshot of the baseline dataset; and transferring, from the source storage system to the target storage system, only a difference between the baseline dataset and the source dataset.
