Abstract: An inflatable product is provided, including a first wall, a second wall, and a plurality of internal tensioning members connecting the first and second walls. Each internal tensioning member includes a first fixing strip and a second fixing strip respectively coupled to the first wall and the second wall. The inflatable product further includes a thread helically wound around the first fixing strip and the second fixing strip. First parts the thread are fixed between the first fixing strip and the first wall, and second parts of the thread are fixed between the second fixing strip and the second wall. An apparatus set and method for manufacturing the inflatable product are also provided.

Abstract: A device configured for a vehicle for supporting and massaging a neck of a passenger is provided. The device is configured such that a neck support pad is integrally formed on a lower end portion of a headrest to hold up and support the neck of a passenger, and a massage device is mounted in the neck support pad to massage the neck of the passenger, thus stably supporting and massaging the neck of the passenger sitting on a seat.

Abstract: A method for performing cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) includes elevating the heart of an individual to a first height relative to a lower body of the individual. The lower body may be in a substantially horizontal plane. The method may also include elevating the head of the individual to a second height relative to the lower body of the individual. The second height may be greater than the first height. The method may further include performing one or more of a type of CPR or a type of intrathoracic pressure regulation while elevating the heart and the head. The first height and the second height may be determined based on one or both of the type of CPR or the type of intrathoracic pressure regulation.

Abstract: A handheld acoustic shock wave or pressure pulse applicator device has a body structure and an applicator head. The body structure has a proximal end and a distal end with a longitudinal axis extending between the ends. The applicator head is at the distal end. the head emits pressure pulses or shock waves at an inclined angle relative to the longitudinal axis of the body structure. The applicator head has a balloon or lens or membrane through which the emitted pressure pulses or shock waves pass. The lens or membrane is configured to be coupled directly or indirectly to an exposed soft tissue surface of a palate inside a patient's mouth to direct emitted pressure pulses or shock waves to the brain. The applicator device can be configured with the inclined obtuse angle fixed between 150 degrees and 90 degrees or can be adjustable between 180 degrees and 90 degrees.

Abstract: Described herein are various embodiments of differential air pressure systems and methods of using and calibration such systems for individuals with impaired mobility. The differential air pressure systems may include an access assist device configured to help a mobility impaired user to stand in a pressure chamber configured to apply a positive pressure on a portion of the user's body in the sealed pressure chamber. The system may also include load sensors configured to measure the user's weight exerted inside and outside the chamber. The system may be calibrated by determining a relationship between the actual weight of the user and the pressure in the chamber, where the actual weight of the user may be measured by more than one load sensor and at least one load sensor is not in the pressure chamber.

Abstract: The present disclosure describes a sexual aid device for the stimulation of male genitalia and the collection of semen. Upon manufacture, the sexual aid device includes an uninflated inner chamber, an elongated extension extending from the inner chamber, and an inflation passage in fluid communication with the inner chamber for subsequent inflation of the device. Prior to inflation and use, the elongated extension is inserted into the inner chamber, where upon inflation the elongated extension forms an internal passageway that is isolated from the inner chamber and arranged to accommodate a user's penis. Once inflated, the inflation passage is sealed such that the air or other gases are captured in the inner chamber and the inner chamber remains inflated. After use, the passageway captures any ejaculated semen. The device is deflated in a manner that secures any semen within the device for subsequent retrieval for medical use or disposal.

Abstract: Systems and methods for exerting forces on a body, including a support structure defining a space and a plurality of surface contacting units that are configured to exert force upon the body, such that the weight is distributed away from the primary weight bearing regions to non-weight bearing regions of the body, or vice versa, without exerting significant shear or frictional forces on surfaces of the body. The systems and methods may be used to exert forces to cause fluid shift in different compartments of the body. Applications include treatment of various disease conditions including pressure ulcers, heart failure, high blood pressure, preeclampsia, osteoporosis, injuries of spine and to slow microgravity-induced bone and muscle loss. The systems and methods may be used to simulate gravity, weightlessness or buoyancy, in rehabilitation medicine. The system may include a chair, bed, a wearable suit or an exoskeleton.
