Abstract: A method of connecting a user device anonymously to a remote operator, via an intermediate anonymizing server is described. In this way, a remote operator may control the device, without the remote operator knowing the identity of the owner or of user of the device. A remote operator might provide medical support or entertainment. The user of the device is provided with a connection key, which is then further given by the user to a desired remote operator. Both the user and the remote operator provide the anonymizing server with the connection key. The anonymizing server opens a chat room uniquely associated with the connection key. Electronic connectivity is provided by forwarding messages between the user device and the remote operator through the chat room. No other access to the chat room is permitted. The anonymizing server does not store the connection key. No user application is required.

Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention provide a method, system and computer program product for biometric hot tub control. A method for biometric hot tub control includes establishing a set point for a hot tub and electronically transmitting a directive to a temperature control system to heat water in the hot tub to maintain a temperature of the water at the set point. The method also includes detecting a presence of an end user in the hot tub and remotely sensing biometric measurements of the end user while the end user remains in the hot tub. Finally, the method includes electronically transmitting a directive to the temperature control system to change the set point in response to a most recently received one of the remotely sensed biometric measurements.

Abstract: A standing motion assist device includes a support mechanism attached to a leg of a user to assist the user with motion, a sensor including first and/or second sensors that measure and output posture information and myoelectric potentials of the user, respectively, the sensor outputting measurement data including first measurement data measured after a sitting motion of the user sitting in a chair starts and second measurement data measured after the sitting motion ends, a memory that stores the measurement data, and a processor that controls the support mechanism. The processor detects the sitting motion and identifies the chair type based on the first measurement data, detects the start of a motion of the user standing from the chair based on the second measurement data, and outputs assist information corresponding to the identified chair type and used by the support mechanism to assist the user with standing.

Abstract: A skin cleanser includes a surface, such as a silicone surface, with at least one textured portion for transmitting vibrational tapping to the skin. The skin cleanser includes at least one oscillating motor for generating the tapping motion to the skin. The textured portion includes touch-points or a wave that transmit the tapping motion to skin in contact with the textured portions. The touch-points may include thicker and thinner formations of the touch-points to provide firmer or softer vibrations to the skin. The touch-points are within about 0.5 to 2.5 mm in diameter. One configuration includes multiple oscillating motors configured to provide different vibration frequencies at around 50-300 Hertz and operable simultaneously.

Abstract: Dry eye treatment apparatus and methods are described herein which generally includes a patch or strip affixed to the skin of the upper and/or lower eyelids to deliver heat or other forms of energy, pressure, drugs, moisture, etc. (alone or in combination) to the one or more meibomian glands contained within the underlying skin. The treatment strip or strips include one or more strips configured to adhere to an underlying region of skin in proximity to one or both eyes of a subject such that the one or more strips allow for the subject to blink naturally without restriction from the one or more strips. Moreover, the one or more strips may be configured to emit energy to the underlying region of skin and where the one or more strips are shaped to follow a location of one or more meibomiam glands contained within the underlying region of skin.
