Abstract:
A process for forming a patterned thin film structure on a substrate or in-mold decoration film is disclosed. A pattern is printed with a material, such as a masking coating or ink, on the substrate, the pattern being such that, in one embodiment, the desired structures will be formed in the areas where the printed material is not present, i.e., a negative image of thin film structure to be formed is printed. In another embodiment, the pattern is printed with a material that is difficult to strip from the substrate, and the desired thin film structures will be formed in the areas where the printed material is present, i.e., a positive image of the thin film structure is printed. The thin film material is deposited on the patterned substrate, and the undesired area is stripped, leaving behind the patterned thin film structure.
Abstract:
A mask assembly configured to prevent the mask from being thermally transformed and to maintain gaps between a plurality of divided pattern masks is disclosed. According to one embodiment, the mask assembly comprises: an open mask that has a plurality of first openings arranged in rows and columns; and a pattern mask that comprises a plurality of unit pattern masks. In some embodiments, the ends of the unit pattern masks may be fixed with respect to the open mask, and the unit pattern mask includes a plurality of mask pattern units configured to align with the plurality of first openings of the open mask. In some embodiments, a tensile force is applied to the unit pattern mask(s).
Abstract:
The present invention relates to an adhesive coating device for sheet-binding provided with a roller 14, part of which is immersed in adhesive 10 stored in an adhesive reservoir 12, for applying hot-melted adhesive 10 in the above-mentioned adhesive reservoir 12 along the arranged one-side edge of a bundle of sheets 54 while rotating. The device includes an electromagnetic induction heating coil 20 disposed in the vicinity of the above-mentioned roller 14, and a current supply device 5 for supplying a high-frequency current to the above-mentioned electromagnetic induction heating coil 20. The above-mentioned roller 14 is formed of a heating member for generating heat using the Joule heat owing to an eddy current caused by a high-frequency magnetic flux generated by the above-mentioned electromagnetic induction heating coil 20, and the above-mentioned roller 14 is heated by supplying a current from the above-mentioned current supply device 51 to the above-mentioned electromagnetic induction heating coil 20 so that the adhesive 10 stored in the above-mentioned adhesive reservoir 12 is melted.
Abstract:
An organic EL display device and a method for fabricating the same are disclosed, wherein an organic luminescence layer is formed at a crossing region of first and second electrodes using a shadow mask on which a plurality of holes are connected by bridges.
Abstract:
The cartridge assembly for dispensing at least one component comprises a cartridge having a rigid cartridge cylinder, a package assembly having a membrane containing liquid chemical, the membrane having a closed inlet end and an outlet end and a piston assembly disposed in said cartridge assembly. The piston side end of the inner wall of the cartridge cylinder and the front of said piston assembly are formed thus that the membrane is turned outside-in within itself by the action of the piston provided with a sealing lip such that the inner surfaces of the turned outside-in wall portions of the membrane are sliding relative to each other during emptying of the package, sealing the gap betweeen the double walls. Such a device requires considerably less dispensing force which is important particularly for a hand driven apparatus, and allows an efficient sealing of the liquid while dispensing.
Abstract:
A baseboard protector is provided including a frame having a pair of long members and a pair of short members. The short members are coupled between the long members such that the short members reside in perpendicular relationship with the long planar members. By this structure, a mop may be situated within the frame such that one of the long members is in sliding abutment with a baseboard, thereby preventing the baseboard from becoming wet when the mop is reciprocated along a wall for waxing a floor adjacent thereto.
Abstract:
A container including a cylindrical main body having front and rear end portions opposite each other and being axially collapsible along the longitudinal axis thereof to discharge contents therein through the first end portion. The rear end portion is sealed, and a reinforcing member having a discharge aperture extending therethrough is secured to the front end portion of the cylindrical main body. Additionally, a lid is disposed on the reinforcing member to cover the discharge aperture.
Abstract:
An apparatus for forming thin organic films includes a plurality of water tanks each containing water. Monomolecular films of different amphiphatic organic molecules are developed on the surface of the liquid in water tanks, respectively. A work is dipped into and drawn up from a desired water tank, by a driving device, in a direction substantially perpendicular to the liquid surface, so that the monomolecular film in the water tank is adhered on a work surface. The work is transported by a transporting device to a position above another water tank, through an area lying above the water tanks. Then, the work is dipped into and drawn up from the other water tank, by the driving device, in a direction substantially perpendicular to the monomolecular film, so that another monomolecular film is adhered on the monomolecular film already formed on the work surface.
Abstract:
A barrier for confining an area of monomolecular film on a Langmuir trough comprises a first barrier portion consisting of a transverse part and a longitudinal part and a second barrier portion connected at its ends to the ends of the first barrier portion and having two further longitudinal parts, one close to the first longitudinal part and the other further away. By altering the position of another transverse part joining the two further longitudinal parts the area enclosed is varied by changing the length of the longitudinal part close to the first longitudinal part and altering the length of the longitudinal part further away by an amount such that the sum of the two altered lengths remains constant.
Abstract:
Apparatus for coating articles with enamel slip comprises an evacuatable container 1, which is divided in a vertical plane into parts 2, 3, which are movable toward and away from each other. The articles 29 to be coated are suspended in a row from an endless conveyor track and are introduced into the container 1 when its parts 2, 3 have been moved apart to open the container 1. The container 1 is then closed. In the closed container, the suspension means are held between soft seals 12, 13 which cover the confronting edges of the container parts 2, 3. When the container 1 has been closed, the air contained therein is sucked off and slip is sucked into the container. As soon as the coating operation has been completed, the slip is drained from the container 1 and the latter is then opened and the coated article is removed.
