Abstract: A method of manufacturing a template including a mesa on a second side is disclosed. The method can include depositing a first coating on the second side, depositing a photocurable material over a top of the mesa, contacting the photocurable material with a second surface to cause the photocurable material to cover the top surface of the mesa and at least a portion of a side of the mesa, curing the photocurable material to form a cured film on the top surface and to form a cured extrusion on at least a portion of the side surface, the cured extrusion is thicker than the cured film, etching the top surface of the mesa to remove the first coating and the cured film from the top surface, and removing the cured extrusion to form the template with the first coating on the side surface.

Abstract: The present disclosure pertains to a deposition system, a method and use of such system for filling a groove provided into surface of a workpiece with a printable medium, in particular a highly viscous paste. The system includes a deposition head that includes a first deposition chamber that extends to a first orifice. The orifice is reversibly closed off between at least two shutter elements. In some embodiments the system is a dual chamber system, each chamber having a reversible closable orifice. The system is arranged to maintain a flush physical relationship between the workpiece and the terminal ends of the shutter elements, so as to, upon application of a working pressure, fill the groove.

The method includes providing a plurality of crystalline hexagonal tungsten trioxide particles, size-reducing the crystalline hexagonal tungsten trioxide particles by grinding to produce crystalline hexagonal tungsten trioxide nanostructures, and coating the crystalline hexagonal tungsten trioxide nanostructures onto a substrate to produce a thin film. An electrochromic multi-layer stack is also provided.

The back-up roll has a deformable inner layer (12) with a surface thereof covered by a deformable outer layer (14). Abstract: Provided is a method of producing a transparent resin base printed material, including: a treatment liquid applying step of applying a treatment liquid which contains an acidic compound onto a transparent resin base material; an ink jetting step of jetting an aqueous ink, which contains a colorant, resin particles, water, and a solvent having a boiling point of 150° C. to 250° C. and in which the content of a solvent having a boiling point of higher than 250° C. is 1% by mass or less with respect to the total mass of the ink, onto the transparent resin base material to which the treatment liquid has been applied according to an ink jet system; and a drying step of drying the aqueous ink under a condition in which the surface temperature of the transparent resin base material is in a range of 60° C. to 100° C.

Abstract: In an embodiment, a melt polymerization process comprises melt polymerizing reactants in at least two polymerization units, in the presence of a catalyst composition to form polymerized polycarbonate; adding a quencher composition comprising one or both of a liquid quencher composition and a solid quencher composition; mixing the quencher composition with the polymerized polycarbonate for a period of time of greater than or equal to 5 seconds prior to the addition to the polymerized polycarbonate of any additives having a reactive OH group or reactive ester group; directing the polymerized polycarbonate to an extruder; and directing an additive to the extruder.
