The disclosure describes a printed circuit board (PCB) for use in an electronic device. The PCB comprises: a top side; a bottom side; an edge between the top side and the bottom side; a cavity from the top side to the bottom side; a region on the top side for mounting an electronic device; and a connector for receiving connections from the electronic device. In the PCB, the connector is located on either the bottom side or the edge of the side of the PCB. The electronic device can be a display module.
Abstract:
A clamp to be surface mounted on a printed circuit board with a clamp groove into which an optical fiber is inserted. A flexible synthetic resin member is deformed by applying a pressing force so as to narrow the width of the clamp groove. The deformation causes an opening of the clamp to be closed, and opposing shape preservation members with the clamp groove located therebetween to be deformed so as to shorten the distance between top ends of the shape preservation members. A metal plate member with no spring properties remains deformed even after the pressing force is released, and the flexible synthetic resin member also remains deformed. An optical fiber pinched by inner wall surfaces of the clamp groove is unlikely to be displaced either in an axial direction or in a radial direction.

A board mounting device (20) which includes a base carrier (10) that can be snapped down on a board (14). The base carrier (10) includes at least one locking hook (22) which engages behind the board (14) in the mounted condition of the device (20). The device (20) further includes a device carrier (11), connected with the base carrier (10), which is adapted to be moved relative to the base carrier (10). The locking hook (22) is provided with at least one shoulder (43) on which the device carrier (11) is supported by at least one guide pin (31, 40, 50, 60) before the device (20) is in its mounted condition.
Abstract:
A circuit component locating apparatus is used to locate a circuit component, such as a resistor, capacitor etc. on a circuit board. The apparatus has an attachment member that projects from a fastening frame. The attachment member extends around the circuit component to provide a gap which can receive adhesive in order to secure the circuit component to the attachment member. The apparatus is particularly useful for minimizing the effect of vibrations on circuit boards of an automobile's Engine Control Unit (ECU).

An improved LED positioning structure includes a retaining holder and a cover; multiple slots being disposed on one side of the retaining holder; a slope externally extending beneath each slot gradually and externally extending a slope; a hole connecting through each slot being formed on the bottom of the slope; a positioning channel at the top of the retaining holder for LED pins to respectively penetrate each hole, thus each pin being placed in a slot; a bent part of each pin being formed by the curvature located between the slot and the positioning channel to position the LED mask in the positioning channel; and the cover being positioned at top of the slot to secure the LED in place.

An optical display module comprises a circuit board, a supporting device and four connecting devices. The connecting devices are bonded on the circuit board by welding. The supporting device has four slots associated with the connecting devices. The supporting device is attached on the circuit board to engage the slots with the connecting devices respectively to bond the supporting device and the circuit board firmly.

A filter mainly includes a coil connecting frame, a plurality of coils received in the frame, and a first circuit board. The frame comprises a first surface with a plurality of first pins and a second surface, opposite to the first surface, with a plurality of second pins. The first pins are connected to the first circuit board, and the second pins are connected to an external electronic device while both the first and second pins are connected to the coils. The coil connecting frame further includes an electrical connecting portion between the first surface and the second surface with a plurality of conducting pins which penetrate through the first and second surfaces to connect to the circuit board and the second pins or external electronic device.

The invention relates to a capacitor device comprising the combination of a cylindrical capacitor and a holder for holding the capacitor in a sideways position. The holder includes a capacitor holding part that has an opening at the top and is arc-shaped in cross section, and a mounting part for mounting the holder itself to another device. The capacitor is held in a sideways position in the holding part of the holder with a heat shrinking resin tube interposed therebetween. Accordingly, the height of the capacitor device is reduced, so that the size of the capacitor device can be reduced. In addition, the connection distance between the capacitor device and another electronic device is shortened, so that the inductance can be made smaller.
