Abstract: Provided is a massage roller or ball comprising: a) a rigid cylindrical or spherical body; b) a sheet of a heating pad placed over the cylindrical body; c) a rechargeable battery placed inside of the cylindrical or spherical body; wherein current from the battery makes the heating pad increase in temperature. Provided is a massage roller comprising: a) a rigid cylindrical body; b) two end caps, with each end cap placed at one end of the cylindrical body; c) a sheet of foam placed over the cylindrical body; d) a sheet of woven carbon fiber placed over the foam, the sheet of carbon having two conductors that do not touch each other; e) a cylindrical shell placed inside of the body; f) a rechargeable battery placed inside of the shell; g) two lead wires carrying current from the battery to the conductor, each wire connected to one of the conductors; wherein current from the battery heats the heating pad.

Abstract: A device for stimulating neurons that includes a stimulation unit that applies mechanically tactile and/or thermal stimuli to the body surface of a patient that stimulate neurons with a pathologically synchronous and oscillatory neural activity. The device includes a measuring unit that records measurement signals of neural activity of the stimulated neurons, and a controller that controls the stimulation unit and analyzes the measurement signals. The controller actuates the stimulation unit to scan at least one part of the body surface of the patient along a path and thereby periodically applies stimuli and also selects two regions or more regions on the patient's body surface along the path where the phase synchronization between the periodic application of the stimuli and the neural activity of the stimulated neurons have a local maximum using the measurement signals. The stimuli are then applied in a delayed manner in the two regions.

Abstract: The present invention provides a fluid injection system (11) which transitions between a maintenance mode wherein an outlet (15) is closed and no fluid is discharged through the outlet, and an operation mode, wherein the outlet is open and fluid is discharged through the outlet. The fluid injection system injects a first fluid transported in a first pipeline (21) with a second fluid, wherein there is a temperature differential between the first fluid and the second fluid. The fluid injection system comprises a holding tank (49) for storing the second fluid, a cooling means (35) to cool the second fluid, and a pump (39) for delivering the second fluid into the first pipeline. The second fluid mixes with the first fluid in the first pipeline to provide a combined third fluid having a temperature within a predetermined temperature range, wherein the third fluid is maintained within the predetermined temperature range when the fluid injection system is in either mode such that the temperature of the third fluid made available to an outlet is within the predetermined temperature range.

The side wall has a collapsed position and an extended position. The platform of the base member and the side wall cooperate to define a bath chamber for retaining water with the bath chamber sized to receive a body part. A retention member is supported by the base member to extend from the base member to the distal end region of the side wall to retain the side wall in the extended position.

Abstract: An embodiment of a system for treating sleep apnea includes a collar, pump, motor, sensor, memory, and controller, which is configured to store, in the memory, information related to sleep-apnea events or sleep-apnea treatment, experienced by the subject. For example, the controller can obtain, and store in the memory, information related to sleep-apnea events, and the controller, or another computing system, can correlate this information with the subject's lifestyle choices, and can recommend lifestyle changes to improve the subject's sleep apnea. Furthermore, the controller can obtain and store, in the memory, information related to usage and settings of the sleep-apnea system, and the controller, or another computing system, can correlate this information with the subject's wellbeing, and can recommend changes in the usage or the settings of the sleep-apnea system that can improve the subject's wellbeing.
