Abstract: A touch input device includes M drive lines; N sense lines; (M×N) electrostatic capacitances; and a signal processor configured to output a first drive signal and detect a change in a plurality of electrostatic capacitances of the (M×N) electrostatic capacitances. The signal processor outputs the first drive signal to the at least one first drive line and outputs a second drive signal having a phase opposite to the first drive signal to each of at least two second drive lines. The signal processor outputs the first drive signal and the second drive signal so that a first amplitude total, which is obtained by multiplying an amplitude of the first drive signal by the number of first drive lines, is substantially equal to a second amplitude total, which is obtained by multiplying an amplitude of the second drive signal by the number of second drive lines.

Abstract: A display device includes a display panel and a control unit. The display panel includes a first substrate, a light modulation layer configured to switch between transmissive display and non-transmissive display, and a second substrate in this order, and further includes an optical sensor configured to detect a luminance of light incident from a first space located on one main surface side of the display panel and from a second space located on the other main surface side of the display panel. The control unit calculates, based on the luminance, a relationship between brightness of the first space and brightness of the second space as a numerical value and switches display of the light modulation layer based on the numerical value.

Abstract: To realize frame narrowing of a display device that uses a display element driven by a current. A second scanning signal line drive circuit configured to drive second scanning signal lines each connected to a control terminal of a writing control transistor is constituted by a shift register composed of unit circuits equal in number to half a number of the second scanning signal lines. In a period during which a power supply control transistor and a light emission control transistor are maintained in an off state and the writing control transistor is maintained in an on state in first and second pixel circuits connected to the two second scanning signal lines adjacent to each other, a threshold voltage compensation transistor and an initialization transistor in the first pixel circuit and a threshold voltage compensation transistor and an initialization transistor in the second pixel circuit are sequentially set to an on state for a predetermined period each.
