Abstract:
A system for assisting a person to rise from or recline to a sitting position is disclosed employing a walker or cane having a connector that enables attachment and detachment with an anchor attached to the floor.
Abstract:
In embodiments, a CPR chest compression system includes a retention structure that can retain the patient's body, and a compression mechanism that can perform automatically CPR compressions and releases to the patient's chest. The compression mechanism can pause the performing of the CPR compressions for a short time, so that an attendant can check the patient. The CPR system also includes a user interface that can output a human-perceptible check patient prompt, to alert an attendant to check the patient during the pause. An advantage can be when the attendant checks in situations where the condition of the patient might have changed, and an adjustment is needed. Or in situations where the patient may have improved enough to where the compressions are no longer needed.
Abstract:
The disclosure relates to a mobility system. The mobility system has at least one driven exoskeleton for a person. The at least one driven exoskeleton has at least one electronic unit that controls and/or regulates an operating state of the exoskeleton. At least one vehicle has a passenger compartment and at least one mechanical coupling station, which is arranged in the passenger compartment. The exoskeleton can be mechanically coupled to the mechanical coupling station. The vehicle has at least one electronic device, wherein the electronic unit is connectable, via at least one communication connection, to the electronic device.
Abstract:
A stretching device that enables a user to employ the mechanical advantage of a multi-pulley system while performing various, prolonged muscle stretches; the stretching device including a first anchor assembly, a second anchor assembly, and a motion transfer line. The first motion transfer line has a first anchor body and a first motion transfer pulley; the first anchor body being attached to the user and the first motion transfer pulley being coupled to the first anchor body. Similarly, the second motion transfer line has a second anchor body and a second motion transfer pulley; the second anchor body being attached to a stationary object and the second motion transfer pulley being coupled to the second anchor body. The motion transfer line is terminally attached to the first anchor body and is trained around both the first motion transfer pulley and the second motion transfer pulley.
Abstract:
A device for treating dry eye syndrome and strengthening eyesight, of the present invention, comprises: a water goggles main body part into which a saline solution is injected, and which is closely adhered to the facial surface of a user, thereby allowing muscular exercise of the eyeballs to be carried out in the saline solution; a saline solution container coupled to the upper part of the water goggles main body part so as to supply a predetermined amount of saline solution; and a display device fixed to the front of the saline solution container, and in which an ocular muscle strengthening program for guiding the user's line of vision is executed so as to enable eyeball exercise to be performed in the saline solution.
Abstract:
A prosthetic penis provides the wearer with somatosensory feedback on another part of the wearer in response to external influences or stimuli on the prosthetic penis. Sensors on the prosthetic penis are mapped to output elements on an output device that is in contact with the wearer's body. The output device may be applied to the wearer's skin or inserted anally or vaginally. Feedback of touch, pressure, and/or temperature on the prosthesis is such that the wearer's perception mimics that of touch, pressure, and/or temperature stimuli on an actual, biological penis.
Abstract:
A massage device mounting system may include two mounting elements, each with a slot for receiving a removable massage bar with a cylindrical shaft and two opposing bar ends mounted within the slots. A massage device is pivotally coupled to the cylindrical shaft and includes a bore through the central axis of the massage device. A massage device mounting system may also include an adjustable support for mounting the massage device within a doorway or for supporting the massage device adjacent to a surface, such as a wall or a floor.
Abstract:
A chest compression device and a linen attachment assembly for a chest compression device are presented herein. In particular, the chest compression device is connectable to an air pulse generator for performing chest compression therapy or techniques while one or more chest panels are positioned in an overlying relation to the patient's chest. The device includes an attachment assembly disposed on opposite sides thereof and includes one or more connectors attached to the chest panel(s) and a separate grooved anchor. The grooved anchor is positioned under the linen on opposite sides of the patient, the connector attaches to the anchor through the linen, pinching the linen there between.
Abstract:
Roller devices, systems, and methods for their use to treat or alleviate symptoms relating to soft tissue injuries and ailments. Such a therapeutic system includes at least one roller device that has an axis of rotation and at least first and second rollers oriented perpendicular to the axis of rotation and spaced apart along the axis of rotation to provide substantially continuous lines of contact with an individual's skin. Each of the rollers has a circular perimeter that defines an outer diameter and a contact surface of the roller. The contact surface defines a contact surface radius sized so that the roller applies a level of pressure to the soft tissue beneath the skin when the roller device is pressed with a level of force against the skin of the individual and caused to travel across the skin within the body region of the individual's body.
Abstract:
