Abstract: A film (1) includes hollow particles (10) and a binder (20). The hollow particles are made of a material having a refractive index of 1.15 to 2.70. The binder (20) is formed of at least a polysilsesquioxane and binds the hollow particles (10). The film (1) satisfies at least one of requirements Ib/Ia≥0.7 and Ib/Ic≥0.3. Ia is an absorbance derived from a hydrocarbon group not directly bonded to a silicon atom, the absorbance being determined by attenuated total reflection using a Fourier transform infrared spectrophotometer. Ib is an absorbance derived from a bond between a silicon atom and a non-reactive functional group. Ic is an absorbance derived from a bond between a silicon atom and a hydroxy group.

Abstract: An environmentally-friendly flexible conductive polyurethane (PU) and a preparation method thereof are disclosed. The environmentally-friendly flexible conductive PU is prepared by subjecting a mixture of a component A and a component B in a specified mass ratio to in-situ solvent-free polymerization, where the component A is prepared from a polyol, a T-type chain extender, a diselenide diol, high-conductivity carbon black, a dispersing agent, a catalyst, and a leveling agent, and the component B is prepared from a polyisocyanate, a polyol, a multi-walled carbon nanotube (MWCNT), and a dispersing agent. The PU has a reliable electrically-conductive function, and shows a self-healing function under room temperature or light conditions when damaged, wherein a microphase separation value HBI (0.5 to 3.0) of soft and hard segment molecules can be adjusted to achieve different hand touches and different mechanical properties, and an organic pollutant emission (volatile organic compound (VOC)) is less than 50 mg/kg.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to multi-layered elastomer-based liners. In at least one embodiment, a coated substrate includes a substrate and a first elastomer coating disposed on the substrate. The first elastomer coating is substantially free of sulfur and includes a first elastomer selected from the group consisting of a polyurea, a polyurethane, a polyurea-polyurethane copolymer, and combinations thereof. The coated substrate includes a second elastomer coating disposed on the first coating. The second elastomer coating includes a second elastomer selected from the group consisting of a polyurea, a polyurethane, a polyurea-polyurethane copolymer, and combinations thereof. The first elastomer is the same as or different than the second elastomer and at least one of the first elastomer or the second elastomer is a polyurea-polyurethane copolymer.

Abstract: An embodiment polypropylene resin composition includes, based on a total weight thereof, a highly crystalline polypropylene resin at 20-50 wt % of the total weight, the highly crystalline polypropylene resin having an isotactic pentad fraction, measured according to the C13—NMR method, of 96% or more, a highly flowable polypropylene resin at 5-15 wt % of the total weight, a glass fiber at 10-35 wt % of the total weight, the glass fiber having an average diameter of 5-15 μm and an average length of 1-16 mm, a glass wool at 1-5 wt % of the total weight, the glass wool having an average diameter of 1-6 μm and an average length of 30-300 μm, a phosphate flame retardant at 15-25 wt % of the total weight, a fluorine flame retardant aid at 0.1-0.4 wt % of the total weight, and a compatibilizer at 1-4 wt % of the total weight.

Abstract: Described herein are conductive fluorinated elastomeric materials and methods of making and using the same. The conductive fluorinated elastomeric materials include a fluorinated polymeric matrix and one or more high aspect-ratio fillers, wherein a surface resistance of the elastomeric material is 15 ohm/square or less and/or a bulk conductivity of the elastomeric material is 0.7 Ohm-cm or less. Also described herein are liquid fluorinated elastomeric compositions, including a fluorinated polymer, one or more high aspect-ratio fillers, and a solvent. Further described herein are molded products including the conductive fluorinated elastomeric materials as described herein and wearable devices including the molded products.
