    Abstract: A spectroscopic analyzer according to an embodiment includes: a Fabry-Perot QCL element configured to emit a laser light including a plurality of mode lights respectively corresponding to a plurality of modes indicating a discrete oscillation spectrum; a diffraction grating configured to disperse the laser light emitted from the QCL element into the plurality of mode lights; and a light detector configured to detect the mode light dispersed by the diffraction grating and then transmitted through a sample.

    Abstract: A spectroscopic sensor includes a wiring substrate having a main surface, a light detector disposed on the main surface of the wiring substrate, a Fabry-Perot interference filter, a spacer which is provided on the main surface of the wiring substrate and supports the Fabry-Perot interference filter so that the Fabry-Perot interference filter and the light detector are separated from each other, and a stem connected to a ground potential. A second current path which has a smaller electric resistance than that of an arbitrary first current path which extends from the Fabry-Perot interference filter to the light detector via the spacer and the wiring substrate is formed between the Fabry-Perot interference filter and the stem.

    Abstract: A device may include a filter array disposed on a substrate. The filter array may include a first mirror disposed on the substrate. The filter array may include a plurality of spacers disposed on the first mirror. A first spacer, of the plurality of spacers, may be associated with a first thickness. A second spacer, of the plurality of spacers, may be associated with a second thickness that is different from the first thickness. A first channel corresponding to the first spacer and a second channel corresponding to the second spacer may be associated with a separation width of less than approximately 10 micrometers (μm). The filter array may include a second mirror disposed on the plurality of spacers.

    Abstract: In an example method, light is emitted towards a sample region, and sample light is received at an interferometer. A subset of the sample light is transmitted from the interferometer to a detector. Transmitting the subset of the sample light includes determining a reference voltage corresponding to the range of wavelengths of the subset of sample light, and a reference temperature. Transmitting the subset of sample light also includes determining a temperature of an environment, determining a bias voltage corresponding to a difference between the reference temperature and the temperature of the environment, and applying, to the interferometer, an input voltage corresponding to the sum of the reference voltage and the bias voltage. The subset of the sample light is measured by the detector, and a spectral distribution of light is determined based on the measurements.

    Abstract: An optoelectronic device, including a tunable optical filter or tunable optical filter with photodiode, uses voltage differentials to filter an optical signal passing along an optical path. A membrane has an electrode and is disposed adjacent a fixed mirror and another. A central portion of the membrane is distanced from the fixed mirror and has an aperture in which a second mirror is disposed. This second mirror translates with the membrane at a freespace gap relative to the fixed mirror when the electrodes are subject to the voltage differentials. In turn, the freespace gap is configured as a Fabry-Perot etalon to pass one or more spectral frequencies of the optical signal along the optical path. The membrane is shaped and reinforced to limit possible bowing. The translatable mirror in the aperture of the membrane is also shaped and reinforced to limit it from possible bowing as well.

    Abstract: A light detection device includes a Fabry-Perot interference filter provided with a light transmitting region on a predetermined line, a light detector disposed on one side with respect to the Fabry-Perot interference filter on the line, a package having an opening positioned on the other side with respect to the Fabry-Perot interference filter on the line, a light transmitting member provided in the package such that the opening is blocked, and a temperature control element having an endothermic region thermally connected to the Fabry-Perot interference filter and the light detector. The endothermic region is positioned on one side with respect to the light detector on the line.
