Abstract:
An apparatus is disclosed for treating a user by means of vibrations, comprising: a vessel for accommodating a liquid for immersing the user, provided with a first rim; a motor provided with a cam mechanically coupled to the vessel to cause vibrations of the vessel. The apparatus is characterized in that it further comprises an external casing of the vessel, provided with a second rim covering the first rim, and a fluid-tight seal interposes between the first rim and the second rim and such to reduce the transmission of vibrations from the vessel to the casing.
Abstract:
A sleeve for use with a circulation enhancement device, the sleeve substantially encircles a user's leg at the region of the user's calf muscle and includes two end-straps of non-stretchable material configured to connect to opposite lateral sides of the circulation enhancement device to enable intermittent tightening and relaxing of the sleeve around the user's leg by pulling and releasing both end straps, the two end straps extend in opposite directions along a common longitudinal axis. At least one of the two end straps is connectable to the circulation enhancement device by passing through a loop in one of the opposite lateral sides of the circulation enhancement device; and at least one end strap includes attachment means configured to be attached at various positions along the sleeve, after passing through the loop, to enable adjusting the sleeve to fit the user's leg.
Abstract:
A bath (100) comprises a support (1) of foamed polymeric material, substantially soft, suitable for defining a volume suitable for being filled with water or other liquid intended for sanitary purposes, characterised in that it further comprises a coating (2), for at least partly covering said support (1), said coating (2) being made mosaic-wise by a plurality of blocks (21), said blocks exhibiting structural stiffness higher than said support (1).
Abstract:
A phallic device for sexual stimulation generally includes a housing and at least one end cap attached to the housing. The end cap includes a data access device for accessing audio data from a data device. The end cap further includes a sound emitter for emitting audio corresponding to the audio data accessed by the data access device from the data device.
Abstract:
The invention includes a method and apparatus for quieting and insulating a bath during its operation in order to reduce the amount of noise and vibration transmitted to its user. The bath comprises a bath vessel and a pre-molded high density insulation pad secured thereto for insulating the bath vessel from noise, vibration and heat transfer. The pre-molded insulation pad is positioned on the bottom of the bath vessel while the laminate of the bath vessel is still wet so that the pad bonds with the bath vessel as the laminate cures. After the pre-molded insulation pad has bonded to the bath vessel, an upper surface of the bath vessel is leveled with a lower surface of the pre-molded pad so that these upper and lower surfaces are parallel to each other. Further, the pump assembly is positioned away from the bath vessel during installation and operation so that vibrations generated by its pump are not directly transmitted from the pump assembly to the bath vessel. The invention also includes a method of preparing a bath for being packed into a shipping container so that the pump assembly and bath vessel are securely held together as a unit during shipping.
Abstract:
A housing having an inclined surface and a pair of footrests is provided. A plurality of impact rods are disposed in perpendicular to the inclined surface and axially slidably mounted in the housing. An impact head is secured to a top of each of the impact rods. A reciprocating device is provided for reciprocating the impact rods so as to impact a sole of a user mounted on the footrest. A reciprocating device and a drive motor for actuating the reciprocating device are disposed in a mass block that is suspended from the housing.
Abstract:
This invention relates to a control device for an air turbulence massage device having a housing. The housing accommodates a blower unit which can be driven by an electrical motor. The housing has a connecting piece for an air tube that is in communication with a turbulence matting. The housing accommodates a check valve device which, when the control device is shut off, prevents water from flowing back from the turbulence matting to the electrical motor and the blower unit. The housing comprises an external housing and a separate internal housing. Air flow is separated from a water discharge path leading from the internal housing such that the blower unit and the electrical motor never contact the water flowing into the housing and the water can flow out of the control device.
Abstract:
A drive mechanism for a domestic vibration-type apparatus is provided, in which the rotor shaft (19) of a single-phase synchronous motor drives a cam-and-follower mechanism which converts the rotary motion of the rotor into a vibratory motion, the rotor and the stator having a main field direction (22) and (16), respectively. The longitudinal axis of the mirror-symmetrical cam extends at an angle to the main field direction (22) of the rotor. Rollers (31, 31a) which follow the cam (21) are arranged on a pivotal arm which is pivot about its central portion and a vibratory part (39) to be driven is arranged on the driving end (35) of this pivotal arm. As they cooperate with the cam the rollers are constantly in contact with the cam profile. At the end of the transmission path, which exhibits backlash, vibratory part (39) cooperates with a spring (38) which urges one of the rollers against the cam, causing the position of the cam relative to the direction of magnetization of the rotor to be changed so that the rotor is forced out of a position in which the direction of magnetization of the rotor and the main field direction of the rotor extend parallel to each other, by means of the spring (38), preferably in the positive direction. In this parallel position the vibratory part (39) is situated near of its reversal point. To obtain a further noise reduction a unidirectional blocking device is included.
