Abstract:
A two-component spray nozzle, in particular for die spraying devices, comprising a nozzle inlet end for working medium and blast air as well as a nozzle outlet and, a blast air guiding portion having at least one blast air supply line connectable with a supply member for blast air, and a working medium guiding portion having at least one working medium supply line connectable with a supply mechanism for the working medium.
Abstract:
A method and apparatus for placing an imitation stone finish on a workpiece. The method includes first spraying the workpiece with an intermediate coating of pigmented, catalyzed material. Then, the workpiece is sprayed with a mottling coating, which is a pigmented mixture of solvents. The apparatus has two pair of spray guns. The first pair of spray guns spray a quantity of pigmented, catalized urethane material onto the workpiece. The second pair of spray guns spray a quantity of a pigmented mixture of solvents onto the workpiece.
Abstract:
An overflow and automatic start-up system adapted for use with hydrokinetic amplifiers is disclosed. More particularly, the present invention relates to an overflow check system adapted to provide unit suspension and restart solely by manipulation of a discharge valve at a remote user location.
Abstract:
A misting jet apparatus is provided for producing an air-water mist comprising a water nozzle that produces an expanding stream of water droplets which enters an air-mixing nozzle wherein air introduced to said mixing nozzle converts the expanding stream of water droplets into an air-water mist which exits as a jet having high cooling capacity at relatively low air pressures, and is adapted for metallurgical quenching applications.
Abstract:
A nozzle for atomizing large volumes of liquid fuel with steam, air or other conventional fluids. Liquid fuel is introduced into the inner body wherein the atomizing medium is admixed through apertures to lower the density of the fuel and effect a spiraling flow through the inner body. The fuel leaves the inner body through a single exit having a flow area not smaller than onehalf the flow area of the main fuel supply conduit where an atomizing medium impinges onto and into the exiting stream to externally atomize the fuel and form a flow pattern that is essentially in the shape of a solid cone. This nozzle provides a solution to fouling problems normally encountered with both commercial grades of liquid fuels and combustible liquid process by-products. The nozzle has performed well with liquid fuels containing suspended solids up to one half inch in diameter and at rates up to 300 gph.
Abstract:
A nozzle assembly for a cold spray deposition system includes a nozzle body with an axial bore. The axial bore defines a converging segment, a diverging segment downstream of the converging segment, and a throat fluidly connected between the converging and diverging segments of the axial bore. A particulate conduit is fixed within the axial bore and extends along the axial bore diverging segment for issuing solid particulate into the diverging segment of the axial bore.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a device for dispensing a mist of an ophthalmic fluid, the device comprising a discharge opening for said mist, a mixing chamber communicating with a discharge opening, an air chamber, a first drive operable to expel air from the air chamber, a fluid chamber for holding a first volume of the liquid and communicating with the mixing chamber, a dosing chamber for containing a second volume of the liquid corresponding to a plurality of the doses, preferably to two doses, of the liquid, the dosing chamber communicating with or configured for communicating with a supply of the liquid, such as a collapsible liquid container or a liquid container having a movable bottom, and with the fluid chamber, a second drive operable to supply the second volume of the liquid from the supply to the dosing chamber and for emptying the dosing chamber by repetitive delivery of a single dose of the plurality of doses of the liquid contained therein to the fluid chamber, the air chamber communicating with the mixing chamber and/or with the fluid chamber for the expelled air to drive the liquid delivered to the fluid chamber into the mixing chamber by the expelled air.
Abstract:
A spraying apparatus includes: an inner lid; a flow guide plate; and an annular member, wherein a liquid is introduced into a gas -liquid mixing section between the inner lid, the flow guide plate, and the annular member from an inner lid plate of the inner lid, the inner lid plate being a flat plate located upstream of the spraying apparatus and proximate the gas-liquid mixing section, and a gas is introduced into the gas-liquid mixing section from an opposite position, the liquid is atomized in the gas-liquid mixing section by the liquid impinging with the gas and transforming into a gas-liquid mixed fluid, and advancing to a spouting portion as the gas-liquid mixed fluid is circulated in the gas-liquid mixing section along the internal surface of the annular member on the flow guide plate and facing the gas-liquid mixing section.
