Abstract:
Provided is a pressure sensitive adhesive sheet containing, on a substrate or a release material, a resin layer formed of a multilayer structure of three or more layers including a fine particle-containing layer that contains fine particles in an amount of 15% by mass or more, at least a surface (α) of the resin layer being opposite to the side thereof on which the substrate or the release material is provided having pressure sensitive adhesiveness, wherein the fine particle-containing layer is formed not as the outermost layer of the resin layer, and one or more concave portions exist on the surface (α) and the shapes of the one or more concave portions have irregular shapes. When attached to an adherend, the pressure sensitive adhesive sheet can exhibit excellent air escape property of readily removing air accumulation which may be formed, good blister resistance and good pressure sensitive adhesion characteristics.

Provided is a pressure sensitive adhesive sheet having a resin layer on a substrate or a release material, at least a surface (α) of the resin layer being opposite to the side thereof on which the substrate or the release material is provided has pressure sensitive adhesiveness, wherein one or more concave portions exist on the surface (α), and a standard deviation (σ) based on a mean brightness value of the surface (α) is 10.0 or more. When attached to an adherend, the pressure sensitive adhesive sheet can readily remove air accumulation to be formed and therefore exhibits excellent air escape property, and has good pressure sensitive adhesion characteristics.
Abstract:
Tape backings with a first major side and an oppositely-facing second major side, wherein the first major side includes coextensive, intersecting microstructured paint-retention and hand-tear patterns; and, tapes including such backings, and methods of making and using such tapes and tape backings.
Abstract:
An anisotropic conductive film (ACF) including a base film, a support unit on the base film, the support unit defining at least one opening, at least one conductive particle in the opening, and an adhesive layer on the support unit and the conductive particle.
Abstract:
Provided are a sealing tape that can prevent tape width misalignment, air bubble inclusion, and creasing even when the sealing tape is affixed in a folded state, a phosphor sheet using the same, a lighting device, a liquid-crystal display, a method for manufacturing a phosphor sheet, and a sealing method. The sealing tape (10) includes an adhesive layer (11), a gas barrier layer (12), a bonding layer (13), and a support film layer (14) laminated in stated order, and has an incision (15) into the support film layer (14) in a thickness direction. The incision (15) is located substantially centrally in a width direction and extends in a longitudinal direction. Accordingly, tape width misalignment, air bubble inclusion, and creasing can be prevented even when the sealing tape is affixed in a folded state.
Abstract:
An elastomeric tape having a shape configuration that provides an enhanced longitudinal stretch characteristic is provided herein. The exemplary tape comprises a first surface, a second surface opposite the first surface, a first side and a second side opposite the first side where the first side comprises a series of alternating peaks and troughs and the second side comprises a series of alternating peaks and troughs.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a self-adhesive article comprising a support layer of foam or similar type and an adhesive layer obtained by cross-linking an adhesive composition. The present invention also relates to a mixture of at least two polymers suitable for use for the manufacture of the self-adhesive article as well as an adhesive composition comprising said mixture of at least two polymers according to the invention.
Abstract:
Methods of making cut adhesive articles are described. The methods involve: providing a crosslinked pressure sensitive adhesive layer disposed on a substrate, embossing a surface of the crosslinked pressure sensitive adhesive layer to form a microstructured crosslinked pressure sensitive adhesive layer having a microstructured adhesive surface, and die cutting the microstructured crosslinked pressure sensitive adhesive layer.
Abstract:
A protective textile sleeve for providing protection to an elongate member contained therein; a method of construction thereof, and a method of bonding at least a portion of the sleeve to at least one of itself and an elongate member extending through a cavity thereof is provided. The sleeve has a wall of interlaced yarn, with the wall having an outermost surface and an innermost surface. The innermost surface is configured to bound a cavity extending between opposite open ends. The sleeve further includes an adhesive coating bonded to at least a portion of at least one of the outermost and innermost surfaces. The adhesive coating has a first, dried non-adhesive state and a second, wetted adhesive state, wherein the second adhesive state is activated via application of a water-based liquid thereto.
Abstract:
One or more embodiments of the present disclosure may include kinesiology tape that may include a first layer of fabric with an adhesive on a first side of the first layer of fabric. The kinesiology tape may also include a second layer of fabric that may be coupled to the first layer of fabric. The first layer of fabric and the second layer of fabric may form a receiving portion. The kinesiology tape may also include a support disposed in the receiving portion. The present disclosure may also relate to associated methods.
