Abstract: A method and an apparatus for transmitting broadcast signals thereof are disclosed. The apparatus for transmitting broadcast signals comprises an encoder for encoding DP (Data Pipe) data corresponding to each of a plurality of DPs, a mapper for mapping the encoded DP data onto constellations, a time interleaver for time interleaving the mapped DP data at DP level, a frame builder for building at least one signal frame including the time interleaved DP data, a modulator for modulating data in the built at least one signal frame by an OFDM (Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplex) scheme and a transmitter for transmitting the broadcast signals having the modulated data.

Abstract: A method and apparatus of wireless communication between a base station and at least one user equipment. The method includes: transmitting an enhanced physical downlink control channel from the base station to the at least one user equipment using a demodulation reference signal antenna port; transmitting message from the base station to the at least one user equipment which is scheduled by the enhanced physical downlink control channel; receiving the message at the at least one user equipment; determining at the at least one user equipment whether the message was correctly received; and transmitting an ACK/NAK signal on an ACK/NAK resource determined from the enhanced physical downlink control channel from the at least one user equipment to the base station indicating whether the message was correctly received by the at least one user.

Abstract: A wireless communication device transmits data to multiple wireless terminals at the same timing. The wireless communication device includes a complement calculation part configured to calculate the amount of complement for transmission data for each wireless terminal among multiple wireless terminals on multiple subcarriers distributed and assigned thereto, a complementation part configured to complement transmission data using the amount of complement calculated for each wireless terminal, and a transmitter configured to transmit the complemented transmission data to multiple wireless terminals via multiple subcarriers. The wireless communication device further includes a frame generator configured to generate frames (e.g. OFDMA frames) used to multiplex and transmit the complemented transmission data to multiple wireless terminals. The complement calculation part calculates the amount of complement based on the number of available subcarriers, which is determined via carrier sensing.

Abstract: Transmission quality is improved in an environment in which direct waves dominate in a transmission method for transmitting a plurality of modulated signals from a plurality of antennas at the same time. All data symbols used in data transmission of a modulated signal are precoded by hopping between precoding matrices so that the precoding matrix used to precode each data symbol and the precoding matrices used to precode data symbols that are adjacent to the data symbol in the frequency domain and the time domain all differ. A modulated signal with such data symbols arranged therein is transmitted.

Transmitting a constellation point of a frame may be performed using an orphan subcarrier pair.

Abstract: Channel data for a plurality of OFDM tones for one or more spatial or space-time streams are determined. A plurality of angle values associated with the one or more spatial or space-time streams and the one or more OFDM tones of the plurality of OFDM tones are determined. For each of the one or more spatial or space time streams, a per-tone signal to noise ratio (PT-SNR) associated with one or more OFDM tone of the plurality of OFDM tones is determined, and an average signal to noise ratio (avg-SNR) is determined by averaging signal to noise ratio (SNR) values corresponding to one or more OFDM tones of the plurality of OFDM tones. A feedback report is generated to include at least i) the plurality of angle values, ii) the PT-SNRs, and iii) the avg-SNR.

Abstract: An access node of a 3GPP LTE-based wireless communication network comprises a transmitter portion that transmits downlink control information (DCI) to at least one wireless station of a plurality of wireless stations wirelessly accessing the node as a Multi-User Multiple Input Multiple Output (MU-MIMO) wireless communication network. The DCI comprises at least one code word indicating a rank of a channel matrix between the transmitter portion of the node and the wireless station greater than 4 and a spatial-related configuration for the wireless station. In one exemplary embodiment, the transmitter portion transmits the DCI from one substantially localized geographical transmission point forming a single-cell access point for the plurality of wireless stations. In another exemplary embodiment, the transmitter portion transmits the DCI from multiple geographically substantially isolated transmission points forming a single-cell access point.
